Bottle into pint glass (6/17/10) Poured a cloudy amber color with a creamy head that lasted the whole glass. Nose was of straw and grass with a hint of some citrus fruits. The taste was surprisingly a little sweet, but with a nice afterbite of hoppy bitters to give it a nice crisp finish. Overall I have always enjoyed this beer and style and was not disappointed. Very refreshing on a hot summer night.

This is probably the best american pale ale I’ve had. Has the malt body it’s supposed to but with a stronger hop kick. When in doubt, add hops! Very refreshing and medium bodied. Good ale.

Hoppy and malty aroma has toffee and honey. Flavour has toffee, hints of honey and it is a bit malty too. Good APA, but could be less malty.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2011 Location/Date:Bottle on July 14th.

Appearance: Pours an opaque dark orange-light copper
Aroma: Nose is of light hops.
Taste: Light bitterness from hops, along with some sweet form the malt.
Palate:Medium light body, some fizz.

Summary: I do like this APA, Wish it had slight more hops in the taste, but pretty solid an ddrinkable beer.

Good representative of an APA style. I love it because of the hoppy finish to it. Well balanced, another great brew from Anchor Brewery.

Bottle@Friends balcony. Pours golden with white medium head. Good lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus, hay, herbs. Taste is grapefruit, light bitter finish. High carbonation, nice body. Overall quite nice, especially on a summer evening!

If your a veteran, cheers to this brew. It’s a little pricey but well worth it. I think it’s a true American beer.
