Yellow, really thick head. Aroma is some fruit mixed with tree bark - maybe pine bark. Taste is malty with a bit of hops - not as hoppy as other APLs. Finish is smooth and malty.

Nice hops aroma. Floral, citrus, grassy. Slight sweet malt. Appearance is golden light copper. Small white head. Taste is very nice complex maltiness, almost an English malt profile. Caramel and slightest hint of roast go very nicely with moderate hops bitterness all supported with nice floral citrus hops aroma. Palate is medium-. Malt caramel sweetness and floral citrus aroma linger nicely. Crisp and refreshing. Slight alcohol hotness. Overall this is an excellent APA. Complex and balanced. Everything that you want in an APA is here nicely and working together.

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2011 The first good impression I had, as I see was the case with many other reviewers, was the aroma. Very hoppy and floral, overall indicative of what was coming in terms of taste. To the tongue it feels earthy, floral, slightly citrusy,, and most definitely very hoppy, which may not be appealing to all, but it definitely got me. It’s bitter and dry, but it is extremely refreshing, too. It is almost insulting to say that this is just a better version of a Budweiser. They are two completely different beers, whose only thing in common is their country of origin. They’re not remotely similar. I will definitely buy this beer again.
