UPDATED: FEB 27, 2015 335 ml. bottle at home. When it makes sense to me to ship a beer, albeit an APA, from California to Denmark, where we have so many great American hopped brews locally, then this must be something special. And to me it is! I struggle to find a more elegant APA anywhere. Perfectly hopped, deep yet refreshing, with just that touch of Belgian - dare I say it - Karmeliet champagne bubbliness and finesse. Shipping a beer half way round the globe is expensive and perhaps mad....but in this case, I appreciate that we are enough enthusiasts to make it worth the trouble. So if you have not tasted this elegant brew from the company which also makes the great Anchor Steam (best enjoyed on tap locally)... get going!

33cl @ bottle. American Pale Ale per il solito ottimo birrificio di San Francisco. Non gli altissimi livelli che ha raggiunto con altri stili, ma una birra beverina con luppoli americani.

Bottle 35.5cl. Slightly hazy medium amber, big frothy and sticky white head, recedes slowly, thin layer remains all the way, good sticky lacing; malty aroma, fruity (apricot, peach), caramel, floral and citrus hops; tatse medium bitter and sweet, good balance of malts and hops, fruity notes; medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, dry bitter aftertaste, citrus, lightly spiced; quite mild for an APA, pleasant.

Aromat: owoce, trawiaste akcenty, żywica, lekki karmel, wszystko stonowane i delikatne Wygląd: zmętnone złoto, piękna piana, lacing idealny Smak: słodowa baza, skontrowana dość wysoką grejtrutową goryczką, sporo posmaków owocowych (porzeczki, winogrona) i żywicznych. Jest nieźle, ale siłą rzeczy człowiek spodziewał się czegoś...lepszego

Smells of hops...and freedom! A nice pale ale. Good color, just a bit on the watery side. Could be because I’ve been drinking dark beers almost exclusively. Nice finish.

Not too interesting aroma and taste. A little caramel, a little conifer, little fruit. Bitterness is small.
