3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a light amber with moderate white head, nice lacing. The hop taste is nothing like I remember it, it has been a few years since I've had this beer and the California brewers have since gone crazy, moderating this beer somewhat. A very nice APA though.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice American IPA, not overly hopped like some west coast IPAs but done tomeet more commercial tastes. Clean and refreshing on a hot summer day. My favorite Anchor brew.

2.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The inital smell was unpleasant. It smelled like my grandma dropped her perfumed sachet in it,extremely flowery. The taste was ok, fruity malty sweetish taste, not to much bitterness, good drinking beer, but couldn't get over the shock of that intial whiff

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Liberty Ale is a hazy, orange tinted amber beer that pours with a solid white head, that slowly dissipates to a thin film of foam. Strong citrus notes in the aroma, with a definite hop spiciness. I can smell hints of the aroma as it sits on my desk. This is a complex beer, with malt, citrus, and peppery flavors intermingling. The finish is heavy on the citrus notes. The mouthfeel is very full and solid, as to be expected by the film left by the head.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a golden brown with a small tan head and lots of hop in the nose. The taste is hoppy with malt notes but is very crisp. Smooth but with a weakened bitter finish. Good stuff!

Pours a nice dark gold with lots of head and plenty of lace. Floral hops and citrus nose. Some malt in the flavor, again a nice floral taste, some fruits. A good dry finish. Pleasing pale ale.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This one pours a decent head and has a light amber color to it. The flavor is slightly hoppy, but not as strong as most pale ales.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a nice amber color, good head and lacing. Flowery, citrus aroma, but not the grapefruit. Tastes hoppy, with a slight malt middle and a bitter end. Although it has been eclipsed by some other excellent APA's recently, this is the grandaddy of them all and is still a quite quaffable example of the style.
