Generous white foamy head with nice amber color. Powerful bitterness generated by hops. Subtle fruits and spices: A fine ale for election day!

650 ml bottle, courtesy pintbypint. Amber colour with a mostly lasting thick creamy and frothy tan coloured head. Grapefruit, caramel, pine, other citrus, and lightly acidic aroma. Light caramel and bready malts with a slowly building piny and pithy grapefruit bitterness. Light to medium bodied, quenching mouthfeel.

Hoppy aroma. Crystal clear goldish hue. Perfect white fluff head thats thin yet dense. Nice lacing. The flavor isnt much hops as the nose mislead but instead replaces it with mild hops and sweet malt. Light traces of citrus and unripe apricots with a creamy feel. Has a weird medicine or chewable aspirin aftertaste that i didn’t seem to get used to. Not a IPA that passes the test in my book.

Pours a dark hazy orange. Smallish, but lasting head. Faint hint of citrus, maybe grapefruit/lemon. Has a nice hops kick, but nothing that overpowers the other subtle flavors. Somewhat toward the mild end, but very good nonetheless.

Bottle - 650ml. Clear copper color with a thick bubbly head. Superb, vigorous, and complex hoppy aroma with various hints of herbs, roasted sugar and fruits (orange, peach, apricot). Taste is robust but well-balanced. Although the mouthfeel is dominated by hops (Cascade), we can detect some notes of spices and citrus. It ends with a dry, bitter, and long finish, typical of the IPA style. Splendid!

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2009 On draft in Eureka, CA. Attractive orange color, with great white head. Fruity aroma with yeast and hop flavor. Good to the last drop. A perfectly balanced and qualty pale ale.

I love these extremely hoppy American beers - I wish we could get more of them in the UK. Bottle from Beer Cafe, Glasgow. Red-orange, Yellow-white sparse diminishing head. Huge citrus hop aroma. Overwhelming fruit/hop/yeast flavour which numbs the tongue. Good finish with lingering american hops. Love it.

Golden, honey, copper color (whatever you want to call it) slightly hazy, wi th a white head leaving a nice lacing. Essentially fruity aroma (mostly grapefruit but also peach and apricot) and lightly yeasty. Flavor dominated by the bitterness of hops, with citrus and a touch of pepper. Malty finish once the bitterness starts dissipating. Pretty good pale, definitively not my favorite kind though.

Aroma is peach, wheat, malt, with a slightly nutty smell also. Taste is slightly hoppy with a nice fruity background and somewhat floral.
