UPDATED: AUG 21, 2004 i have great memories of this beer, and had to check in again: great nose! the dry hopping is up front with out being in your face. a straight up ale, but some of us have moved on to the next level re rated and downgraded after a dissapointing draft pint at the Abbaye : thin, flat, weak hop presence

Hazy golden color, white head. Hoppy nose, slightly toasty. Flavor was hoppy again with a solid malt background. Finishes dry and bitter. Very good.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2005 Nice and dry, tastes nice and smoky. Has a small head and a toasty taste. Has a great reddish, amber color. Finishes well. Aroma of grapefruit and some light pine. The taste has bread and toast with a little grapefruit bite. A solid APA stand by.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2004 Slightly hazy, copper. Medium head, pillowy, with no lace. Nice Cascade aroma, with plenty of malt(toast, caramel). Smooth, creamy, mouthfeel. Subtle carbonation, and good full body. Fruity, sweet malty flavors. Some toasted bread as well. Finish is loaded with Cascades with their signature, crisp, earthiness lingering. Haven't had this in a year or two,and now, don't know why.Killer beer. Re-Rate,with 2 month old bottle: Even more creamier head, with tons of lace. The fresher bottles are much more dry,and addictive. One of my favorite beers, when fresh.

Served on draft, it poured a golden color with a light creamy tight, white head and nice lacing. Citrus hop aroma of grapefruit and oranges. Sharp hop bite with a creamy mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2007 A good pale ale. Not my favorite but it holds its own. Color was nice, and had a bit of a citrus flavor.

RERATE: On tap at MacGregor’s in Henrietta. The aroma and flavor are light but not watery. The hops are present but not dominant. The body is just about right with no resiny harshness. This is a very drinkable beer with plenty of quality texture and flavor without being too in-your-face.

pours yellowish golden with a nice thick off white head and good lacing. sweet malt aroma with just a hint of hops. pronounced hop taste, but not as much bite. sweet and sour in the middle with fresh fruit fading to a light bitter finish that hangs around lightly on your tongue with a litte fruit (pear or apple maybe) hint. quite nice and very smooth feel.

Good stuff. Nice departure from most pale ales. I'm not even sure if this IS a pale ale. It may be it's own style. Balance towards hops, which is nice, with enough body to hold up the other end. Great aroma.

Floaties. Orange marmalade appearance, no head. Citrus, spice, pungent. Jumps from the glass. Hoppy, sour and metallic. Acidic and a lot of carbonation. Better than some.
