COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed in 1975 to commemorate Paul Revere's ride, this brew is a heavily hopped ale (Cascade hops) with a copper color and a hoppy nose.

A nice copper color., pours with a solid cream colored head. A definite citrusy aroma wafts from the glass to my nose. There is a good amount of body to this beer, and it goes along well with a nice American hop (Cascade) character, in both the aroma and flavor departments. This beer finishes with a nice pleasing bitterness that hits ones tongue. At its best this beer is overflowing with American hop character, a wonderful hop-citrus character. Backed by a solid amount of malt backbone that helps this pioneering beer stand tall. Unfortunately this beer does not travel well. Anywhere I have had this beer a significant distance from the brewery, it is merely a solid good above average beer. When it is fresh though it is world class. So all of you Liberty naysayers get thee to the brewery to really experience this beer.

nice beer that hides its alcohol content with a clean palate and a great balance of malt and hops.

I bought a 6 of this when trying out a 6 of Old Foghorn. Out of all the stuff I've had lately, this is the most well balanced beer (I guess I like hops) and a good representative of the APA style.

Didn't this used to be classified as an IPA? Anyway, balanced aroma of hops and malts - similar to Anchor Steam. A very crisp, full hop-dominated flavor. A truly remarkable APA.

Kind of a citrus taste ... really smooth drink ... pale dark beer ...

The aroma of this beer reminds me of the Steam ale. It has a florally hop aroma kind of like the DFH 60 min IPA, but not as complex.

Bottle. A golden color with a slight reddish tint to it. There is a good balance between the hint of sweetness at the front and leading to a nice Cascade hop finish - citrus end with a spicy note. It's a good beer and one you can keep drinking.

Interesting aroma, couldn't really put my finger on it, as I smelled new things all through the course of the glass. Very nice golden topaz color, inviting is what I'd call it. Highly varied flavor, sweet to start with but bitter and hoppy at the end. Didn't really blow me away, but ultimately a very good, refreshing beer.

Poured goldish amber in color. Nice hoppiness, but not overly so. Clean on the palate with a touch of malt in flavor. Smooth. Very good.

The Liberty poured a golden color like honey with a thick head that left a bit of lace on the side of the glass. I expected a little darker color but it did pour beautifully. I didn't quite know what to think at first sniff. When I smelled again, one thing came to my mind- flowers. No, it wasn't like smelling a dozen roses, but there was a distinct flowery aroma. I would generally describe the aroma as clean and simple, like mountain air after a rain. The Liberty has a very crisp flavor with little aftertaste. There is a noticable bitter, hoppy flavor. I was expecting a larger, more dramatic flavor but the Liberty is a refreshing beer that I can imagine having more of in the future.
