(bottle) Very hoppy for the style, resembling an IPA in ways. Hops, grapefruit and clove flavors. Smooth and drinkable, easy to session. Likely was groundbreaking in flavor in 1975, well ahead of its time. You’ve gotta respect that.

35.5cl bottle from Systembolaget. Best before 2011-04-01. It poured a pale golden colour with a medium big, white creamy head. Some carbonation. Aroma is hoppy with notes of pine, citrus and some grapefruit. Flavour is well rounded. Some bitterness, but not much. Notes of citrus, grapefruit again. Not much hops initially, but it came sneaking up after a while. Medium long aftertaste.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2010 I was not a fan of this on a summer day by the pool when I first tried it. Anchor’s a cool brewery, but this is not their best.
