3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerchugger (709) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Pours cloudy with a nice white head that remains for a while. Smells of citrusy pine, lemon, sweet malts, and a strong earthiness. As the beer warms a little, the vibrant lemon and citrusy aromas die off a little and a trace of mustiness is then noticeable. Lively carbonation on the palate. A soft caramel flavor lies underneath a nice hoppy citrus-type acidity. Pine and earth are also detectable on the palate. There is an underlying quality that I just can’t put my finger on. Its unique, a bit odd, but also without description...weird. The finish is long, citrus fruits and nicely bitter.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold colour with a full fluffy head, looks like a beer should. Fruity aroma. Taste is not overly hoppy, finish a bit too bitter.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kschep (1229) - DENMARK - JUN 15, 2010
one of the first apas I tried and back then I really didn’t like the hops, but it’s grown on me (and I’ve tasted a lot more beers). nice sweet note through the hops and a well-balanced taste albeit a little too sharp in the end with a hint of lemon
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 craftycarl21 (1591) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 6, 2010
Semi-cloudy apricot colored pour with a bubbly off-white head that builds towards the surface as it enters the glass. Aroma is light and not too aggressive, but nice, with excellent grapefruit, orange zest, and lemon notes (clearly Cascade), along with some good caramel malt presence. Flavor is like the aroma, but better, with some grass and floral notes adding to the excellent citrus character. Still good malt balance as well. Palate is marked with delightful hop bitterness but very drinkable. Really nice pale ale.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 5, 2010
Appearance: Slighty cloudy orange-golden color with an airy, messy-white head.
Aroma: Fresh, pine resins with some dry lime-peel and peach-nectar notes.
Flavor: Piney, citrusy cascade flowers leads the whole palate. Only a very faint hint of bready, toasted malty background shines through the dry hops.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Very easy, sessionable feel with a decently mouthfilling yeast thickness and a lively carbonation.
Overall: Amazing thirst-quencher with an impressive dry hoppy backbone.
