draft @ redlight redlight. Earthy bitterness on the nose with hints grass notes. Pours golden pale with a solid white head. Solid floral hoppy flavor with a nice balance, earthy grassy notes that lean toward piney. Nice crisp dry finish. Solid!

Pours golden with a nonexistent head. Aroma is quite fruity and a bit bitter. There’s some fruits in the flavor too, but it’s mostly dominated by the hops in the finish. Pretty basic pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 humulonimbus (10) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 19, 2010
650ml bottle from lcbo. hazy light gold pour. grassy hops and yeast on the nose. citrus and yeasty bread flavours with a hint of toast. subtle but bouncy carbonation and an intensely bitter finish. i love the large bottle format because it seems to improve with time; it just gets better and better towards the end. more fruit flavours come out along with just the right amount of caramel which creates a lovely balance with the bitterness (which doesn’t go anywhere). solid.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Taverner (1037) - San Ramon, California, USA - APR 16, 2010
Creamy on the palate - however the first whiff of this beer smells like ass. Don’t know why - because everything else about this beer is perfect for an APA. Nice malt/hop balance, grassy hops as well as bittering ones - distinct Anchor Yeast flavor. This is one of CA’s best APAs!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 popery (1014) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 7, 2010
The beer has a light amber hue with a big head. The smell is mostly citrusy hops with a little bit of floral freshness. The hops come through on the taste but just can’t hold up to the complexity and freshness promised in the nose. Liberty makes up for this, to some extent, by providing a well-balanced bitter malt.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Savvy1982 (1320) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - APR 7, 2010
Bottle. Pours crystal clear, pale amber with a medium white head, that is reasonably persistent. Nose is gentle citrus hops, light biscuity maltiness, and fruit. Flavors are well-balanced, nice grassy hops, firm malt, and a pervasive, and very pleasant fruitiness throughout. A very tasty and pleasant beer, I have a feeling it would be better yet on tap.
