Pours cloudy gold. Scent is fruity. Fflavor is malty with a hint of fruit and a good light bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy pale color with a nice white head that left great lacing on the glass. Nice fruity aroma with some malt. Fruity flavor with a quite dry mouth feel. Good balanced and with a pleasant bitter finish.

2007: Slightly hazy light orange color with a thick ice cream float head. Web-like lace. (I over-poured, to be fair.) Tons of lace! Wonderful sweet hop smell. Lovely flowery aroma floating above the glass. Nice pale malt aroma. Smells like a pale, and a good one at that. Tastes like a pale ale with a smoky (steamy?) quality. Has a sweet fruity but nutty quality. Flowery and different. Quite nice and thirst-quenching. A German-bitter bite toward the end. Leaves a bit of a film but overall quite light and summery, but with a hint of autumnal thickness. It’s a good ale with some sweet flowery extra.

Clear bright dark golden amber hints color. Dry hopped mild IPA floral front. Mild biscuit crisp light creamy caramel sweet butter citrus body. Tart earthy dry bitter hop end. Sampled 4/19/2004. 2004 12 oz. Bottle. (4.25 / 5.0) Mild lacy head. Clear bright rich golden color. Floral hop aroma. Dry sweet tangy crisp citrus mild caramel thin hoppy malt body. Rich hoppy hot spicy end. Rich contrast to prior Elysian Maibock. Sampled 5/7/2004. 2006 22 oz. Bottle. (3.75 / 5.0) Foamy mild lace head. Clear bright rich gold color. Herbal floral hop front. Rich butter caramel malty mild sweet cloying odd body. Mellow earthy hop spice malt citrus end. Ist generation IPA. Sampled 11/19/2006.

Pronounced orange-grapefruit nose over a slightly hazy golden orange beer, rocky white head. A somewhat rough but agreeable hop-bitterness, very light malt sweetness. A bit resinous and sticky-bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly rough for such a classic, but addictive.

355 ml bottle. Hazy golden body with medium white head. Flavour is hops, fruit and malt.

Had this a ton of times, might be my favorite if the Anchors. Pours a hazy pale color with nice frothy head that leaves great lacing on the glass. Tastes slightly sweet up front and lingers into a tad bit of bitterness. No real aftertaste, but does have a nice malt finish.
