Hazy orange amber color with an off-white head showing good retention and leaving some nice lacings.
The aroma is clean and refreshing whit notes of citric hops, grass, fudge and hints of caramel malts.
The flavor is equally clean and refreshing. Some malty sweetness with notes of white bread and well balanced citric and grassy hops on top. The finish is fairly bitter with notes of grass and alcohol.
Moderate body, well balanced carbonation aggressive carbonation.
An enjoyable beer.

Bought in Amsterdam. Nice golden color with a pretty persistent foam. Aroma is hoppy, floral and some malt notes. Flavor is pretty much the same. Mouthfeel is bitter and long, good one!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Elwood (1834) - Between a rock and a hard place, Virginia, USA - JAN 17, 2010
Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
A deep, slightly hazy, gold color emerges with the pour. A frothy white head appears on top. It slowly fades leaving behind nice lacing. Slight floral and perfume notes are in the nose. Slight herbal notes lurk in there too. Clearly there are some hops here. A pleasing bitterness meets the tongue. The herbal and floral notes come through more than anything else. A fairly strong bitterness that isn’t offset by much in the way of malt. There are slight pale malt and honey notes, but not much. You end up up with a soft, mellow beer instead of a crisp refreshing one. The carbonation is soft and mellow as well. The finish is a lingering bitterness. Overall I am left wanting something more in an APA. A touch more hop definition. A bit more bite. All that aside, it is an great example of the style and is a tribute to craft brewing in America.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Oscbert (746) - Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 15, 2010
~Grassy floral hop aroma, some earthy spice, with light caramel malt in background.
~Pours a hazy gold color with creamy white head that leaves lacing.
~Spicy, woody, citrusy hop flavor well balanced with a light sweetness. Light buttery diacetyl, but it is enjoyable and adds to the character.
~Medium body, med high CO2, woody hop finish that lingers nicely.
~Delicious brew, I really like the variety of hop flavors that I found.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 stephenj007 (77) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 15, 2010
Big bottle pour, billowy off-white head thins slowly, hazy golden color. Aromas of hops, light citrus, field hay. Flavors of very prominent bitter hops, lemon tones, light sweet malts. Palate/mouthfeel is on the heavy side with long lingering tastes and aromas. A good brew, need a cheeseburger and fries with this one.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rmasa (324) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JAN 14, 2010
Hazy orange color, large white head; aroma of floral hops and citrus backed up by light maltiness; light to medium body, some carbonation; flavor of bitter hops and sweetish maltiness; greatly balanced, but doesn´t feel exactly fresh. I wonder if it was a bad bottle (quess I should have checked the date).
