Light yellow cloudy appearance, small diminishing head, sweet aroma mild on malt and hops fruity, well balanced fruity flavour with a smooth bitter aftertaste, nice drop but I couldn’t drink too many, would tire easily on this ale.

Smell of caramel. Golden colour, high white head. Aroma of cognac, grain, oak. Medium bitter, medium sweet. Slightly oily.

Bottle (355ml) at Transport Hotel, Melbourne. A straightforward easy drinking APA with citrus and floral notes and a fine crafted palate. Light-medium fruity hop bitterness. Hazy amber appearance with average white head.

Bottle from the Rugby Tap. Aroma is of grape, grapefruit and some dank hops. Taste is grapefruit with some lemon in there. Spiciness is coming through at the end. A lot of Cascade in this one!

Part of my Liquor Mountain Tasting Set & so served in the accompanying Anchor Brewing glass. Liberty Ale - 6% pours a crystal clear shinning copper gold with virtually no head. The aroma is a pleasing fruity & floral bouquet. Medium bodied with a very sweet, fruity flavor, a bit of minerality and some biscuity malt bite. I am also getting a bitter crisp finish with some buttery vanilla notes. It’s ok, I can see how in 1975 this would have wowed people but these days it is quite tame especially for something in the American Pale Ale category.

Butelka. W aromacie, cytrusy, kwiaty i żywica. Kolor słomkowy klarowny, z bujną pianą koloru białego. Piwo dosyć gęste, nagazowanie średnie, w smaku czuć hinty miodowe ale pierwsze skrzypce gra goryczka ziołowo cytrusowa limonkowa. Gładki finisz chmielowy, niezbyt mocno ściągający, przyjemny.

Pours nice golden with small white head. Aroma is resinous/citrusy. Probably expected too much from this, based on all the positive reviews and the fact that I love a lot of the other Anchor beers. Overall a good beer, but nothing special.
