There’s not much that sticks out in the way of the flavor of this Pale Ale other then some of the hops. I am glad this beer clocked in at 6.0% because at least I could catch a good buzz off of it. I can’t believe it rated so high. For the money, you are much better off with a Sierra, or Sweetwater IPA JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Cloudy amber-gold color with a thick rocky light tan head. Mild herbal earthy hop aroma with biscuity malt notes in back. Moderate chewy earthy hops in the focus on the taste. Hoppy and earthy. The palate was not lively enough for my tastes, but this was still nice and drinkable. illini4ever (23), Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Bottle from Quaffs. Golden amber with a quickly dissipating off white head and some fine suspended sediment. Nose of biscuity malt, sprucey hops, ginger, orange and honey, some cinnamon maybe? Reminds me of Our Special Ale without all of the extra spices. Taste is malty with a bitter, orangey hop bite in the swallow. It’s neither over the top nor under done, quite well balanced and sessionable. I much enjoyed it. Mild aroma of fresh hops. Ditto on the flavours - too mild! A little watery and one-sided. beerguyryan (4), kitchener, Ontario, Canada does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 31, 2008 One of my favourite ales, it is almost more like a true india pale ale. Has a floral aroma with a great balance of hops. Has a great finish and goes well with almost any food. Highly recommended.
