3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 chickenflea (227) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - DEC 17, 2009
12-oz bottle. Citrus aroma, but something else, maybe a little like wet bark. Bright light golden. A substantial head that dissipates slowly. Plenty of lacing. Very lightly sweet. Moderate bitterness, then more bitterness as the beer settles in your mouth. A touch sour, too. Very pleasant on the palate. Light bodied, but creamy. Nothing strange here. Typical in a good way. Very drinkable, too. For the cost, a very nice sessionable ale.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Rynoplasty (700) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 8, 2009
Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is grassy malts with hints of citrus and spicy hop. Flavor is light malts with citrusy and piney hops, but not much in the finish. It’s ok but definitely not a great APA.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 beerfest5 (733) - Simsbury, Connecticut, USA - DEC 7, 2009
What a nice surprise, I buy a sixer of their special ale, and not only did i not realize that i bought last years (’08) and there was a liberty ale in the pack! really nice IPA and it must have been an eye opener when first brewed in ’75, and its still great, not going to blow your hair back, but a really nice taste and flavor, great body, maybe could use a little makeover for the 35th anniversary.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 drpimento (1695) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 6, 2009
Old school American IPA. Think it’s the first IPA I ever did have. Great label too. Nowadays in comparison it’s not that great, but still. Poured with a decent medium sized head and a little lace. Color is a hazy medium amber. Aroma is an earthy, slightly grapefruit hoppy, malty, spicey and a bit floral. Flavors about the same. Body is good and so is carbonation. Finish is a long hoppy bitter sweet. Could be a session.

Not for me...too bitter throughout.. an other reason why pale ales aren’t my style
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 potbeercollege (1322) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 5, 2009
Bottled. Orange with thin white head. Aroma is of citrus from cascade hops. Bitterness throughout and lingers nicely. Very bubbly and alive. Easy and classic.

0,355 l bottle, bought at Biererei, Vienna.
Golden, minimal opalescent body with a superb creamy and foamy white head what diminishes to a delicious lacing one. Nice fruity aroma with grape and citruses, resiny hop, fine malt. Oily body, mild texture with easy malt flavor, fruity tastes of grape and citrusses. Nice character of american hops in a strong, powerful but balanced bitterness.. Fruity-bittery aftertaste. Nice ale!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 danielst (226) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - NOV 16, 2009
12 oz. bottle: Pours a shiney light orange with a bit of a haze and a bright white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma that reminds of honey melons and citrus, with a little hint of caramel and bananas. Primarily piney/citrussy/woody even perfumy hops in the flavour - Cascade all the way. Just a little caramel accent coming from the malt. The carbonation is pretty strong and contributes a light acidity, but the finish seems a bit watery. A crunchy bite of hop bitterness, but not overly bitter.
