Backlog. Tried bottled and on tap a number of times. An new-American classic, never get tired of this one.

Golden amber pour. Very carbonated. Aroma of hops and apple juice with some grass. Very bitter taste - more bitter somehow with the carbonation, followed by watery grassy taste. Not as good as I remember - lots of hoppy bitterness but not much else.

Bottle. Definitely didn’t benefit from the trip to Australia. Almost no hoppiness discernible and was pretty bland overall. Disappointing

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a hazy orange/yellow colored body with a fluffy yet lumpy white head. The head slowly left after a minute. Barely any lacing was left. A fair amount of bubbles rose quietly to the surface. The smell has the hops in front and some citrus slightly in the background. The taste is balanced between the hops and citrus getting sweet as it warms and shows its presence in the aftertaste. The palate is medium bodied, balanced, crisp, with a bitter aftertaste and finish. Overall, this is a pretty good American IPA for me. I could definitely do this again, but my tastes aren’t necessarily into the strong hops as most hopheads may find this one a bit mild.
