Amber color, heavenly hops. Citrus tastes but that just seem to compliment those wonderful hops and keep you wanting more. Very good pale ale...

This beer took me by surprise. A smooth, sweet taste. It has a pale, golden color, with a nice, creamy head.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very good IPA -- a nice orange-yellow appearance with a creamy white head -- quality hop aroma without overpowering, and a well rounded flavor that is smoothly bitter with a clean finish.

Hazy orange, compact head, some retention. Aroma of caramel, citrus and pine. The malt sugars are quickly replaced by a honest bitterness (citrus and green olive pits) and it finishes fairly dry. The finale has good length. Nevertheless, the finish could be more precise. Medium to round bod. I have to precise I feel my sample is not so young, yet a good appetizer.

A very sastifying drink. The hops definetly highlight this beer and make it very refershing. This is APA that i imagine the makers of Anchor Steam would make. A dangerously drinkable beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Its been a while... pours a nice medium gold with a big, creamy white head that hangs around and on the glass. On the nose, picking up citrus (orange and lemon) and some pine over top of what smells like a small malt backbone. Medium-light body, somewhat thin in the finish, which is hop bitter and dry. I’m getting the pine hope up front followed by sweet caramel and bready malts. The citrus hops somehow tried to hide. Plenty of bitterness and a dry finish.

What a find to finally score this beauty again. I haven’t been able to purchase it for about 3 years or so. Anyway, a clear gold colour forms the base for a rocky, marshmallowy head that just builds from the continuous beading. The aroma is awesome...a bit piney and full of cascades. It reminds me of soap. The palate is full and unrelenting. Some beers sparkle then quickly fade away but this has staying power. Flavour-wise... a lot of hop comes through but I wouldn’t call it a hop-bomb by any stretch. It’s got a solid balance with the malts. Others more eloquent than I have written about this ale. All I will say is that if this is the main ale in heaven, then I’ll die contentedly and ready!

The streak is over. This is a good Beer, but not a great one. It’s refreshing for this time of year and through the summer, but I was expecting so much more... 8>
