3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle - Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head that mostly goes away quicky. Aroma is orange/banana/hops. Flavor is a great balance of hops and maltiness. Not as bitter as Anchorsteam, but still some light bitterness. Its an easy drinkin’ delicous beer. I will buy this again. Also, how can you not like a beer called "liberty ale" - great name.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle poured a simi clear, copper hue with a fair amount of an almost white head that receded to a ring of mild lacing. Aromas are of a citrus hoppyness trailed by floral and tropical fruit notes. Flavors of bitter tropical fruit with dry citrus undertones. The Finish is light, dry and fruity with a touch of body.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Really nice beer. As one review said, this is certainly a go-to beer, one that will hopefully be around throughout the warmer months. Very nice balance of flavours, all the stuff you can expect from a good performing American Pale Ale. A bit of citrus and floral in the hops on the nose. Flavour is full of the hops, a bit dry and bitter but in a very refreshing way. Really good beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appear clear and yellow with enormous persistent head. Aroma is earthy mild with hints of pine and backed up by sweet malts. The taste is well balanced between sweet malts / toffee and hop bitterness. Nicely hopped for a very pale ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours golden slightly hazy with white frothy head. Nice balanced hop citrusy hop aroma with grapefruit and grassy notes. Not in your face flavor which is surprisingly balanced. More floral flavors than what is picked up in the smell. Slightly fruity but not overly sweet. More like a pale ale than an IPA.

For a very hoppy brew, this one rates up there as a keeper. This is a very clean and drinkable beer.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2008 Hazy orange with a big, white foamy head. This is a nice dry, hoppy and especially refreshing pale ale with a unique flavor. Well done. I’ll be keeping this on hand for a while.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Aroma: hoppy, citrus, bread. Appearance: golden, amber, slightly yellowish 2 finger frothy head; hazy body. Flavour: lightly bitter, mostly smooth and balanced. Palate: medium body with, oily feel, sticky on the lips (or my dry mouth?), average tang of carbonation, bitter slightly drawn out finish.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of my favorites - pours nicely, copper color with a modest head. This one tastes just as good out of the bottle as it does out of the pint. A nice pale ale with a healthy dose of good old American hops to give it the kick that makes this my favorite of the Anchor brewery.
