2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours orange with a small white head. Nose of spice. Tastes fair- dry, some hops but nearly as many as I expected. This isn’t a great pale ale. This is the second Anchor beer I’ve had that’s disappointed me, I doubt I’ll be trying any more of their brews.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear deep amber, moderate bubbly head. Immediate hop nose which continues into a floral hop flavor and finish. Little overhoped but better than most american pale ales that get out of control.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice orange body with a thin layer of foam on top. Aroma and taste are pretty much the same. Flowers, fruit and some malts. There are hints of banana and melon that are more outstanding from the others. Nice aftertaste too.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this after work last night and what a pleaser. Dark gold colour and a foamy head that dies slowly and looks quite rocky as it does so. The aroma is pleasant and floral with some fruitiness rounding it out. The flavour has a medium bitterness witty accents of the fruits and a grassy character to balance it. The after taste was on the bitter side, but subdued enough to be quite sessionable.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2011 Medium hazyness, nice orange/rusty colour. Minimal head formed just at the sides of the glass. Lively carbonation. Aromas of citrus, fruit, bread, alcohol, a very balanced setup. A bitter and balanced taste with light sweetness and a nice sour aftertaste. body is medium with an oily texture. A very nice hoppy bitter/pale ale from this brewery.

Pale, golden colooured beer with a white head. It has pineapple, grapefruit, citron and something grassy in the aroma. In the taste, it has grapefruit, too and hoppy bitterness. It ’s definitely a great beer.

More aggressively hopped than I had expected. Very good. Strong grapefruity hop presence but still well balanced with a nice mild malt foundation. Finished clean and fast. Beautiful clear dark amber with little head.
