12oz. Bottle. I can smell hops as I pour this…nice golden amber clear brew, with a decent head. Aroma is great; fresh, crisp and hoppy. Taste is as it smells; lotsa hop character, but not smack ya in the tongue intense. Very well done.

355 ml bottle. Pours a light cooper with a course white head. Fruity citrus nose with a floral touch. Sharp initial hop bite transitions to a slightly timid malt profile. Medium body. Clean finish.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very appetizing. All about hops. Peppery, grassy hops, resins, grapefruit, pine in the nose, with just a touch of honeyish malt aroma. Oily texture. Very bitter. Bread-like malt, then grassy, citrusy, resiny, olive bitterness and a long, bitter, dry, moreish finish.
Overall:Excellent. A hophead’s beer, and one of my all-time faves. Two thumbs up!

Great beer and quality offering from Anchor Steam. I dig this brewery and pay homage to its history and what it has done for the industry.
Great Pale Ale style - perfect balance of hops for my taste - not overly hopped like so many PA’s and IPA’s these days. Just an outstanding beer! Certainly in my top 3 PA’s.

bottle. Pours yellow orange haze with nice creamy head. Refreshing, almost perfect light citrusy ale flavor. Wheaty? Nicely aged out yeasty flavor, touch of spice / bitterness from medium hops. very good

this is my fav of the Anchor Steamers. Not the the greatest of the American IPA’s but still Great. Drink it and you will see.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
spruce, citrus, golden, clear, white foam, frothy, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, slick feel, average carbonation, bitter
Initial hop burst of citrus/spruce which fades fast. Malt is balanced with bitterness quite well for a mild effect. Pours golden with decent white foam that persists well. Mouth feel is slick, slightly soapy, with a mildly bitter finish. Not bad.

This one pours a decent head and has a light amber color to it. The flavor is slightly hoppy, but not as strong as most pale ales.
