From 2013 bottle to tulip glass. A: Hazy golden orange with a finger and a half of creamy off white head that settles to a ring, leaving good lacing. S: Has a citrus and grassy aroma with some caramel and a bit of cracker malt. T: Taste follows atone with the caramel sweetness followed by the dominate grassy and citrus hop flavors that also provide a moderate bitterness. Cracker malt flavor appears near the end, finishing with just a soft tinge if bitterness but mostly dry. M: Mouthfeel is full and medium bodied with a moderately lively carbonation. O: A very nice American IPA that I can see having again on a summer day. Balanced and drinkable. ---Jeremy H

Different from any pale ale Iíve ever had. It has cascade hops and citrus flavors, especially grapefruit. But unlike SNPA or more modern hoppy beers, the flavors here seem very restrained - and it works. I am getting a lot of dough and toast flavor as well. Classic session beer.

Classic pale ale - poured as a taster at local bottle shop for 4th of July. Nice aroma of cascade hops and some malt underneath. Tastes follow the aroma and a crisp dry finish.

Had this after work last night and what a pleaser. Dark gold colour and a foamy head that dies slowly and looks quite rocky as it does so. The aroma is pleasant and floral with some fruitiness rounding it out. The flavour has a medium bitterness witty accents of the fruits and a grassy character to balance it. The after taste was on the bitter side, but subdued enough to be quite sessionable.

Boa, mas não é uma das melhores de trigo que já tomei. Na próxima vez escolheria outras melhores.

Pours golden with little head and very low carbonation. Smell is nice citrusy, with a little sour base at the end. Taste is full, with a hoppy dry aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle: Vibrant, yellow-golden body with only a slight chill haze. Brilliant white, foamy cap retains very well & leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma contains some quenching citrus, perhaps lemon & grapefruit with heavy floral undertones, quite earthy, even a little dirty. Spicy florals & tangerine open up with warmth. Taste has a nice orange & overall citric presence with an even stronger rush of floral, herbal hops. Almost seems more like a mix of English & American hops rather than all Cascade. A touch of herbal, peppery spice but never getting too bitter. Clean, mildly citric finish with a tiny bit of biscuit-y malt to back everything up. This isnít a mind-blower by any chance, but itís definitely a quaffable easy drinker thatís even better on hot summer days.

355ml bottle. Pours a solid amber with an off-white head. Pine aroma. Robust hops to taste but reasonably smooth with a nice bitter finish. Nice beer.

Anchorís classic Liberty Ale seems a bit tame by todayís standards. Back in í75, this beer must have made quite an impression on the hop-weary, unsuspecting public. In modern times, Liberty Ale is one of many hopped-up pale ales from the Golden state. No fear, though, this copper-gold ale still has a big enough flavor and aroma to grab your attention. The scent reveals hop smells of grass and pear with a bit of malt sweetness. Taste follows the nose with citrusy fruitiness, smooth bread, and a crisp but even bitterness. Liberty Ale may be old but it hasnít lost its touch.
