Illuminatus (87), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Mar 25, 2008 650mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours gold. Nice white head. Very malty and very well balanced. I’d happily drink it anytime. My mother says it’s reminiscent of Molson Golden as it was 25 years ago.
Guinnessman (53), VACAVILLE, California, USA Jul 2, 2008 On tap. Poured quite well. Full rich aroma with so many different characteristics coming through. Creates almost a warm sensation going down. Even the aftertaste was comforting. Gusgus (90), Tanumshede, Sweden Jun 26, 2008 Bottle BBE feb 10. Fruity aroma of apricots and pineapple with some creaminess and earthy spiciness. Info: 355ml bottle, 16/9-2005, 15/300, 9/500 bermod (66), Lappeenranta, Finland Jun 25, 2008 Fresh fruitiness, lemon, pineapple and nice piny, floral hoppy nose. Aroma is malty fruitiness and loads of piny, grassy and floral hops. Dryish finish. dolemite77 (136), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Jun 22, 2008 Pours a hazy orange, with minimal head. Aroma is heavy on the citrus hops. Malt flavor is grapefruit, with a bit of sweetness. Nice dry finish, but I do think the palate is a bit off for this one... if they bumped up the malt a bit, it might give it a little more umph in the body department. Overall a decent pale.
