A light meager head sits upon a hazy lake of beer that thins a bit around the edges. This starts off rather weak, but ends in an interesting mix of hops that leans quite large toward the grapefruit side. It’s very drinkable, but a tad bit on the watery side.

Hazy orange with medium, light tan head. Aroma is grapefruit hoppy. Flavor is sweet and grapefruity. Decent body, but the bitterness sort of fades in a watery swallow.

Having been so impressed by their porter, I was dissapointed by this. My opinion of this beer is that nothing stands out and its basically just a boring brew. The palate felt like some kind of Labbat Blue/ Two Hearted Ale hybrid, but much closer to Labbat. If you want an IPA I would say look for something with a little more substance.

Pours amber - gold with a white lasting head, cloudy. A cascade IPA. Big hoppy cascade nose, with a slight hint of malt. Same cascade hop flavour. Resonably clean in terms of fermentation characteristics, this beer has a solid base to showcase the american hops in abundance. Overall, it doesn't strike you with abundance of hop bitterness although it is well balanced. The lasting impression is cacade flavour and aroma in generous amounts.

Nice smooth beer with a good amount of hops, good citrusy hop aroma. A little boring, but a solid brew.

the aroma of this amber gold beer is lemony and hoppy with undertones of malt. the flavor is sweet yet bitter and malty with a hint of citrus.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Mostly clear, orange/copper body, medium bubbly head. Quite active carbonation. Definitely has a full aroma of Cascades, lemon and pine, though suprisingly faint. Hops dominate the palate, with a bit of counteracting sweetness. I"ve had way hoppier beers than this, but the mixture of hops here I don"t find particularly appealing. This rating is for 12 oz bottle. On tap it seems much more balanced with stronger pale malt presence, which bumps it up 0.4 or so.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2003 Cloudy orange colour. Hoppy aroma and flavour. My first experience with the style. It takes a little getting used to, but it's ok.
