Originally brewed in 1975 to commemorate Paul Revere's ride, this brew is a heavily hopped ale (Cascade hops) with a copper color and a hoppy nose.

poured a color very similar to an apple juice color with a big frumpy head.earthy, malty tones filled my nose.the flavors were a combination of malts, hops, ice tea, grass, and earth.the mouthfeel was a little sharp and bitter.overall its ok,not really my thing.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy yellow witha 1/2" white head. Some lacing which ringed glass all the way down. Not much initial aroma, although that might be the fault of my stuffy nose. This is a well hopped brew with floral undertones. Itís got hoppy bitterness yet sweet at the same time. Finish was clean with a minimal hoppy bitter aftertaste.

Spicy aroma of paprika and garlic, very much like soul food seasoning. When warm it even smells like the ocean. Clear amber, thick white head. Tastes of corn, barley, and a panoply of spices. Weak barley finish with a touch of feet. This beer goes exceptionally well with virtually any meal, but not desserts. Try it with Thai, itís fantastic! Itís not as well suited as a stand alone drink, its unique qualities notwithstanding. Uprated for originality.

Clear, golden-amber body with a fluffy white head. Good retention. Spotty lacing. The aroma shows pale malts, mild grassy hops, and subtle caramel notes. There is also a healthy dose of toasty grains on the nose, with the slightest touch of honey. The scent is a bit subdued, though rather complex. The flavor is comprised of what are essentially the same elements, though there is a bit of creaminess up front that is not present in the aroma. Mild astringency on the finish. Medium body that is easy drinking. Decent brew, but far from outstanding.

6-pack from Total Wine, River Edge, NJ...pours amber in color with a white head...smell is floral with mild citrus...taste is the same with some bitter hoppiness to it...another good offering from Anchor.

Bottled. Poured clear brighter golden with a 1", well-retained cap of white head and considerable rising carbonation. The aroma picked up dusty floral and rather deep lighter fruity notes with caramel sweetness behind. The flavor was very sweet with caramel and citrusy fruits at the core, surrounded by moderate citrus and floral bitterness.. the fruit picked up on the back-end, and left a very nice impression at the sweet finish. Light-medium bodied with decent balance. This wasnít bad.. but fell far short of great.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2008 Poured a dark color with a small white head. Flavors were a little weak. Could use a little more hops to make it better. Easy on the palate and a medium-bodied. Very average beer.

Medium white shiny head. Light orange body. Intense medicinal tropical fruit hop aroma with papery citric notes. Powerful papery medicinal taste with tropical fruit hop notes and strong citricity. The medicinal flavour is really overpowering, and makes me like the beer a lot less. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry intensely citric and medicinal aftertaste. Not really very successful in my book. (0.355l bottle at Cardinal.)

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a hazy golden with almost no head and a salmiac-like hoppy aroma. The flavor is sweet malty with some hoppyness. Not bad, but not special too.
