Pours a nice amber color. Not much head to speak of. A strong, striking aroma that is full of hops. Citrus and hops with plenty of bitterness for a taste that is nowhere near boring. Could have had a little more smoothness or body, but not a disappointing beer by any means.

On tap at the brewery. Gold color with a thin white head. Filmy lace left behind. Aroma is straight-up Cascade hops. Flavor is pale malt with Cascade citrus and a bit of an apple juice note. Slight bitterness is a little weak for the style. Nice mouthfeel, with smooth carbonation and a medium-thin body. Drinkable but simple. Just doesn’t jive with my ideal profile of the style.

Nice old label that looks like a sailors tattoo. Dull honey colored pour with a good sized, airy head and sheetlike lacing. Mild, fruity aroma. Liberty Ale tastes pleasantly dry and fairly well bittered, with touches of orange, grapefruit, and soap. It is a little light but still impressive, kind of like a lighter version of Anchor Celebration or Harvest. It tastes better and more concentrated out of the bottle than from a glass.

Bottle. Large white head over gold body. Hoppy and "goldfish’ malt smell. Taste is a nice mix of malts and hops.

Clouded orange amber with slight head. Quite disappointed in this, not as hoppy, sharp as I expected, really fairly flabby. Sweetish malty base to the beer with a tea like slightly boiled, over extracted hop almost to oilyness. Vanilla, orange in the background flavours. Just about ok.

Bottle. Fruits and sweet malt in aroma. Golden amber colour with high white head. Sweet flavour of malt, caramel and some spicy fresh hops.

Bottle. Poured a deep golden orange with a thin creamy off-white head that clings to the edge of the glass and leaves thick creamy lacing. Aroma is mild, quite piney and slightly sweet. A piney mild hops riding on a nutty roast malt body with bready notes. Lively carbonation with a mild lingering bitterness.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2009 Bottle. Haven’t had this in awhile. Was a decent beer. Hops show though but not a hop fiend.
