Bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with a medium head. Yeasty, slightly sour aroma, with fruit notes. The flavor is crisp, with apple, citrus, and yeast, along with a decent hit of hops. Quite refreshing and pleasant, while complex enough to be interesting.

Dead 50 weekend. Why not? Clear deep golden pour with a frothy white head. Left some good lace. Nice aroma of caramel malt and earthy hops. Touch of citrus but lots of earth and grass. Flavors were in line, very earthy, grassy, lingering dry bitter finish. Moderate carbonation with a slick mouthfeel. Dry and tasty. A snap shot back into history, American brewing at its finest.

0.33l pour from chilled tap into a shaker pint a 4th of July party thrown by the US Embassy in Vienna. Decent, nicely bitter, fairly dry. A little too dry for me, in fact, but not a bad choice.

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Manzanita pint glass From: Trader Joe’s in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif. Price: $8.49 for a variety 6-pack Purchased: June 26, 2015 Consumed: June 26, 2015 Misc.: Can says 6 percent ABV Poured a honey, pale, clear color with 5-to-6 fingers of khaki white, rocky head. Settled to nice look on the top after a few minutes. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Above average spotty lacing on the sides of the glass. Great retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 4.13) Smelled wet Cascade, pine, lime, dish soap, floral, faint watermelon, faint cucumber and caramel. (Smell - 3.75) Tasted similar to the nose, albeit with buttery notes. Got wet Cascade, soapy pine, lime, dish soap, buttery malts, caramel, honey, peas and green beans. (Taste - 3.50) Medium-to-light body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, buttery, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.63) I didn’t this was that good. Maybe six years ago this would have been good, but just an average IPA. (Overall - 3.50) 3.59 81 B

355ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear golden, thick white head. Clean and lovely aroma, sweet malt, caramel, citrus, pine. Medium carbonated with a fresh and crisp mouthfeel.
