Aroma is a bit spicy and also malty. Taste was okay, nothing really stood out to me, except there seems to be a mint flavored finish to it. Beer is very smooth and easy to drink, but the flavor is just not really my cup of tea. Not bad, but I have to say I’m a little disappointed.

This beer pours a dark brown color with a bubbly tan head. Lacing stuck around for the entire glass. Aroma was nice with hints of all kinds of spices, nothing over the top. Has strong taste of ginger and spices, and tasted a bit like eggnog. I was hoping for a little more of a punch out of this to help warm up the night. Beer was fun to sip on during a cold night, but one was enough. jbean (110), Illinois, USA

Pours dark brown with tan head that has pretty decent retention. Aroma is subtle and wonderful, of dry malts and holiday spices. Medium body, complex flavor, that somehow manages to be both warming and refreshing. Very interesting, yet still very drinkable. I’ll buy another six-pack the first chance I get. Absolutely delightful. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 23, 2007 What a great holiday brew! Great pour with lasting head and lacing throughout. Medium bodied, full of spices like drinking gingerbread. Just the right amount of hops to balance and complete an excellent brew. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA

I love how they change it up each year. This time around there’s less nutmeg and clove, more of an emphasis on dry, spruce leaves and a slightly acidic feel. Not quite as lush and warming as earlier vintages, but still a rockin’ good holiday brew. tangentrider (144), USA
