Near black body, mocha tan head. Roasty nutty aroma. Well balanced flavor, a little mocha sweetness, a little roasty bitterness, a little smoky and a tiny bit acidic. A little underwhelming at first but a few bottles later and it’s starting to grow on me.

does not count  Nov 29, 2008 From bottle: Pours a dark brown that is almost black. Has a thick, creamy, tan head. Aroma is of malt and caramel/chocolate. Tastes of malt, caramel, chocolate, and brown sugar. Slight bittersweet finish with hints of some type of fruit and vanilla. Overall a very good beer.

Nov 28, 2008 Solid all around porter. Pour is black with a thick, creamy off white tanish head. Roasted malts, caramel, dried fruits, and some toast give the aroma and flavors. Very easy to drink.

Nov 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Solid Porter! Poured a dark ass brown with light brown head. Scent of roasted malts, molasses, chocolate, carmel and some fruit. Taste is soft with a heavy roasty taste and chocaolate/carmel malt finish. Overall a nice brew. Nothing over the top with this one.

Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark brown almost balck, with some amber in there as well. Head is creamy tan, thick and long lasting. Smells roasty, sweet, and carmely. Tastes deep and roasted, sweet with some fruitiness. Chocolate, raisin, carmel, coffee, vanilla, and plum are present, but not overly done. Some tastes of pine hops are barely present, but come out more as the beer gets warmer. Strong alcohol flavor is also present. Very good.
