b33r (332), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Jan 27, 2007 Faint sweet and roasty aroma. Flavor was light and smooth, a little sweet with some chocolate. It was more mild than I would have liked
ErikTheViking (10), Oslo, Norway Sep 6, 2008 6 Sept 08: Black, with a generous head. Burnt malt with roasty finish. Very good porter. austone (334), Turku; Pori, Finland Sep 6, 2008 Opaque dark ruby, fluffy mocha head. Nose is rum, burned malts, banana syrup and dry fruits. Similar burned and rum fruity flavor, alcohol, and a herbal finish. Quite light bodied. Very old school feeling, I’d like it a bit thicker. ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 4, 2008 Dark brown pour, tan head, spotty lace. Thick bodied. Chocolate and coffee, combined with a roasty finish uselesslogic (3), , Iowa, USA does not count Sep 4, 2008 I was surprised at how dark and thick this beer poured. With its thick flow to its brown head, this resembled a coffee stout more than a porter in appearance. The smell is a lovely, deep chocolate licorice and the taste and mouthfeel is creamy and chocolatey. This beer is so full bodied and full flavored that you’d guess it was a stout. This could be dessert. buzzoven (122), Japan Sep 1, 2008 Chocolate smell, ruby dark brown/black in colour. Beautifully smooth mouthfeel, creamy texture. Very pleasant toffee, coffe, licorice, anise flavours. A treat.
