tylerss20 (88), New Hampshire, USA May 9, 2008 Updated: May 10, 2008 I live in NH and have driven across state lines to find it by the bottle. Had this at Tapwerks in OKC. Pours dark dirt brown, with slight red tint. Notes of roasted malt, spices, wood, coffee, and fruit. Taste is amazing, complex. Not too dirty, not too hoppy. Some sweetness. Finishes with a small bitter kick. An amazing beer, but much better by tap than bottle. Really amazing stuff.
lassem (62), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 26, 2008 Rather thin but dark pour with quite a huge brown head. The nose is dominated of burned malts with hints of caramels and coffee. I sense a bitter citrus flavour together with a nice roasted malty finish. The palate is too waterish imo. jodyperkins (61), Mississippi, USA Jul 22, 2008 Poured from bottle. Dark as a coke with a nice thick brown head. Smells malty but has a hint of cantaloupe. Very smooth and sweet flavors of coffee and chocolate. Nice and creamy on the tongue. Very nice. shackinetics (113), Florida, USA Jul 22, 2008 Dark reddish black pour with beige head. Strong malty nose. Deep roasted malt flavor with a surprising sharp pang of bitter bite. Good to great. UnsofistaCat (204), Garden City, Michigan, USA Jul 20, 2008 kind of so so to me. not very complex. roasted malt and more roasted malt. no head. mouth feel not the greatest, i found it to crisp. need to rate this one again.
