3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Wegmans Malvern. Aroma of yeast, lemon zest, spice (peppercorns), pine, wheat. Flavor has a pronounced malt undertone, lemon peel, spice which is probably pepper and gum. Prickly fella. I am enjoying it.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle. Wheat and yeast nose. Slight potpourri aroma along with black pepper or white pepper. Mall character. I think I have fallen out of love with this style or it could be that this is a poor example of it or both or neither.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Bishops Arms in Örebro. Light smell, fruity and herbal. Similar taste. Nothing wrong with it, but it lacks something that makes it stand out.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Trader Joes. Clear golden honey color with white head that fades. Homey sweetness mild toasty grain with some melon/cantaloupe some tobacco bitterness with raw honey and lemon drop bitterness and spicy clovey ginger. Medium body. Slightly sticky. Very complex but not all the flavors are pleasant. Good. Anchor badly needs a reboot and this aint it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Hazy golden coloured with a rich malty, toffee and spicy citrus flavour, lemon and vanilla notes followed by a smooth creamy tart, sugary and clove fruity finish. A bit more gentle than a lot of Saisons, very nice though.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle, from Dutch’s. Code on back looks like it says 4D9. Clear orange color. Half-finger of off-white head, quickly fades to minimal. Ginger and lemon peel in the aroma, belgian yeast, some caramel malt, mild pepperiness, light spiciness. Herbal, mild zest. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter, mild tang. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp/soft, lighter carbonation. An alright six-pack saison, not impressive though. Focus seems to be more on the adjuncts, not much character without them. Better options are available (even in 6pks).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to me bro, Markimus. It pours clear orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, straw, light spice, spring onion and orange marmalade. The taste is crisp, bitter, malty, light spring onion, lemongrass, touch of spice, citrus rind and stewed orange with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate-high carbonation. I’m not 100% sure on this one... Maybe a touch oniony, but if you can past that it’s ok...

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Anchor where one of the first if not the first American craft brewery available in England introducing me to tastes I could only imagine compared to the local bitter and mild. But they seemed to have lost their way a bit with this one not giving any encouragement that the corner has been turned. It is bronze with a small head and medium body. As you would expect it is fruity and quite satisfying but rather boring. They have a long way to go before they become my favourite brewery again. Shame.

Very interesting. Not too yeasty or sharp. The hops are citrusy and the added ingredients work well with them. I like it.
