As far as Bitters go, this is my favorite. It’s, what?, 3% and yet it has enough hoppage to stand up next to any Pale Ale. It’s bitter, for sure, but notes of leaves on a fall day, toast in the morning and light nuts. Flavor is a little sweet, but I don’t get the hate for this excellent Low Alcohol Bitter.

Deep golden brown color topped by a small white head. Grainy, cereal aroma with some earthy and wooden hop notes. Biscuit like malts, just a touch of sweetness followed by some earthy and grassy hops. Finish is clean dry and bitter.

1pt 6oz bottle from total wine and more in tampa. another straightforward yet fantastic and drinkable anchor. gold pour with sudsy off-white head. muted lemon and malt aroma. crisp medium to light malt taste with caramel. tart feel seems to come from sharp rush of carbonation and a hint of lemon. good stuff.

Clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma had hops, fruits, malt and piney notes. Flavour was quite dry with plenty of hops, pine, grapefruits and hints of rubber. Finished bitter.

Tap at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam on 19th March 2010. Barman asked me "are you sure you want this one" before serving it! Clear gold with lasting white head. Yeasty aromas then flavour is dominated by a metallic, rusty note. Some citric tingling on the tongue before a finish that is sharp, acidic and metallic. Rescued somewhat by its zingy mouthfeel, but I was glad I only had to taste this once.

Bottle thanks to barzigkin. Pours a light gold with a white fizzy head. Aroma of grain, light fruit, light corn. Flavor is very much the same with some added light vegetable and a light hop bitterness. Mouth feel is light body, a bit watery, with high carbonation. Over all an easy drinking beer.

Bottle thanks to me (not mora2000 Mar ;o) Pours a clear, light golden body with an off-white ring of head. Aroma is light sweetness and grassy hops. Flavor is grassy hops, herbal, spicy and very light sweetness. Lively carbonation and a medium bitter finish.

The beer pours a very clear yellow with a white head. The aroma is corn and wheat. Very macro like. The aroma is corn with some very light hops, wheat and possibly some light skunking. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Anchor makes some great beers but this is not one of them.
