2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
I remember this being the first craft beer that I absolutely did not like. Let’s see if the years have changed that:
A: Some off dull stale note in the aroma. Like old hops or something. Malty like a macro..
A: Looks good enough. Nice red orange color. Head is minimal.
T: Super malty which is good but a strange dull bitterness throughout. Finish is off having that stale dull bitter note.
P: Light on palate. Finish is dull.
Overall not as bad as I remember but still not good. That stale hop bitterness cuts through in every aspect which takes away from the maltiness.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
When I first tasted this beer I fell in love with it, but after ordering it for so long it’s started to fall flat on my pallet. That’s not to say that’s it’s not an enjoyable beer (it very much is) it’s just that after drinking so many beers from this "craft beer revolution" the Anchor Steam Beer doesn’t leave you with anything memorable.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from a Pub in London. Pours a light amber colour, with a slowly disappearing head. Smells quite sweet, taste has minimal bitterness and is lowly carbonated. All round great beer

Tastes way too bitter. It doesn’t even taste like beer. I couldn’t even finish a bottle.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft. Pours light copper with a nice two finger head. Great floral hop aromas and flavors. Wonderful malt flavors with a great fruitiness from the yeast. There is a balance in this beer that makes it great.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bu en bouteille de 35,5cl, une couleur ambrée et peu de mousse, en bouche grosse attaque sur le grillée avec des effluves de caramel, de noix et de noisettes, grosse amertume en seconde bouche qui annihile le reste dommage.

One of the first craft beers I have had. Finally had a chance to rate. Really light ale that is slightly hoppy and malty. Ha at Calos.
