merlin48 (349), Henderson, Kentucky, USA Dec 14, 2007 12 oz bottle pours a clear amber body with a modest offwhite head. Aroma and taste have a nice toasted caramel maltiness and earthy hop bitterness. Very well balanced and an excellent session brew. For some reason this classic always reminds me of a topnotch German O’fest.
zappafan99 (312), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Sep 3, 2008 Taste 9/8 Bottle(8JK). Looks Copper, off white head. Aroma: Very mild fruit and grain. Taste: Clean and dry, with a neat chewy body. Nice dry grassy and fruit finish. Interesting. gameface23 (89), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA Sep 1, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a shiny white head. Smell is sweet and nutty. Taste is similar to smell, well-rounded, with a slight bitter hoppy finish. BOLTZ7555 (459), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Sep 1, 2008 Pours a nice copper with a solid dense white head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy with a malt backbone. Flavor has a certain nuttiness about it but caramel & toffee are slightly more dominant. Very refreshing...good session drinker. ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 31, 2008 How have Never rated this? Anyways It was nice to re-visit a true classic Clean crisp and refreshing beer. Slightly fruity, citrus. and a light hop presence drjay44 (125), USA Aug 31, 2008 12 oz. bottle. 35 years ago this was it, the best there was. Pours a nice creamy head, pleasant golden brown color, mild non-spicy, non floral nose, crisp, clean palate with finishing moderate hop[ bitterness. Still a pleasant beer but no longer uniquely outstanding.
