mgermani (621), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jun 11, 2007 Pours a sparkling orange with a loose but decent head and minimal lace. Aroma of light fruit and hops. Great hops right off the bat, then slowly transforms into fruity, nutty taste. Sweet amber malt, lager-like roundness to the aftertaste, some lingering peppery-spicy hops. Slightly creamy body due to the everpresent head mixing with each sip, slightly thin but high in carbonation (seems to be common with Anchor beers). A real "table" beer - good with anything, very drinkable and complex enough to keep me interested. Not bad!
larsga (2319), Oslo, Norway Oct 5, 2008 Big offwhite lasting head leaves coarse lacing. Reddish amber body. Roasty caramelly aroma with perfumy notes. Dry-sweet dense caramelly malty roasty taste with fruity notes. Sharpish mouthfeel, dense palate. Dry fruity spicy aftertaste with notes of harmonically mixed toffee and grapefruit. Nice, but not major. (0.355l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.) NDbeerdrinker (60), North Carolina, USA Oct 4, 2008 Pours a light amber color with a thin white head. Aroma isn’t strong and doesn’t offer much. Taste is honestly similar to Keystone. Nothing special here. nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Oct 1, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear amber/gold color with a creamy off white head. Aroma of caramel malt and some slight hops. Flavor of herbal hops and a clean mild bitter finish. FlagstoneHill (201), Erie, Colorado, USA Sep 28, 2008 5/25/08: 12 oz
Aromas of light carmelly malt, herby hops
Amber color, some haze, off white head that persists
Light malt flavor, herby hop flavor, moderate bitterness, clean finish
Med-light body, med carbonation
Refreshing beer, clean. Nice hop character with malt balance. Oscbert (267), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 27, 2008 Updated: Oct 7, 2008~Pours a clear light amber color with nice looking creamy white head.
~Sour straw cheap macro lager scent, perhaps slightly better.
~Taste is definitely better than the scent. Kind of a woodsy oat taste with slight hop bitterness and an oat sweetness. Not bad but a bit harsh in finish.
~Soft feel, but harsh finish.
~I really don’t see anything special about this beer. I wont turn it down if offered to me, but most likely wont buy again.
