LilBeerDoctor (300), East Setauket, New York, USA May 1, 2008 On tap at the Colgate Inn. Pours a light amber with a small white head. Initially sweet malt with a bitter finish, but as it warmed, the bitterness faded and it became sweeter. A solid beer.
Underhook (65), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 26, 2008 Solid but unspectacular beer. Good nose, mouthfeel is good, flavor is a bit bland but crisp and refreshing without tasting too watery. Some citrusy notes with a little bit of bitterness. Balanced beer. chokmah33 (88), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 25, 2008 Barley malt lager aroma.
Cereal, slight citrus (lemon peel).
Light lager flavor with hints of sweet fruit (apple, nectarine).
Minor bitter hops in there as well. Has a sweet nutty finish.
There is a roughness to the palate that I dig. A full and tasty lager.
SumnerH (2), Virginia, USA does not count Jul 21, 2008 Beautiful copper color in the glass. This is a great summer beer, it’s got a slightly sweet flavor with a hint of fruitiness, but it’s far from being overpowering in either dimension. Medium body with a refreshing crispness and moderate to lively carbonation. A slight bitter astringency in the aftertaste balances the sweet attack wonderfully. rane (340), Nibe, Denmark Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Amber with off white head. Nice lacing. Malty aroma, bread, yeast and some fruity freshness.Taste malty and sweet, some caramel. grikmok (60), Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA Jul 15, 2008 Poured to a thick head with aromas of hops. Initial flavor of hops and ended with a slight bitterness that reminds me of vegetables.
