Shared can at local tasting. Deep golden colour. Sweetish aroma of malts, maize and alcohol. The flavour is also sweet and malty with notes of alcohol. Uninteresting, but not undrinkable.

Pale golden. Little and short head. Aceton and dark sugar in aroma. Not a particularly good lager, but evidently strong in alcohol.

Nye land ombord på Fritdjofen april-14: smak og aroma minner litt lake fra hermetisk fruktcocktail men hvor frukten er halvråtten. Sterk men ikke god.

320ml Can from 7-Eleven in Kuala Lumpur:
Lots of sweetness, syrup and sugar to begin with a lot of adjuncts too and some corn. Quite sickening on the nose and a little sharp, not to mention a lot of alcohol coming through as well.
Straw with a 0.5cm foamy white head that settles to almost nothing except a couple of bubbles after about thirty seconds.
Strong alcohol initially, laced with a huge amount of sweetness and corn. I was struggling to detect anything over the alcohol and a sickening taste of sugar and adjuncts, In a word, disgusting. This one was close to making me sick after a few sips.
Light bodied, tonnes of alcohol and sickeningly sweet. To be honest I can’t get past the foul taste to say anything much about the mouthfeel; terribly unbalanced should cover it though.

An incredibly strong, very unbalanced and all round terrible beer. It started fairly average although not terribly with the smell not doing much for me but the taste was truly awful and in all I think I managed about 5 sips of this one before the rest made its way down the drain.

Pours golden with a 2 inch mess of foam head. Don’t you just love these adjunct grainy artificially carbonated high gravity pale lagers? The head is white, frothy and laces well. The aroma is.sweet, gummy corn amd alcohol with a little bit of wet plastic mixed in. The. Ite lingers for a long time amd the taste is sweet, gummy, grainy corn and alcohol. A drunkards beer poorly executed. I guess there is a market for Malaysians getting wasted on a nickel.

Bottle at the Green Man, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear amber, with a frothy white broken head. The aroma is pure malt and there is a hint of the alcohol there too. The flavour is strong bitter and liqourice, but sadly most of that bitterness comes from the alcohol which doesn’t suit me that much. Having said that its not so bad and I do feel that if this beer was poured from a Maredsous 10 bottle, then people would rate it more highly!
