17thfloor (1403), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 15, 2007 I dont get it.... "all malt" beer... nice looking but thats about it... No hops, wheat malt is low in flavor and barely noticible. I like a light beer in the summer but come on... is this Gruit? dyetube (397), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 14, 2007 This beer pours an amber yellow with a large white head. When I smell this beer, I don’t get anything special... In fact it is rather ordinary! I expected a lot more from anchor! This is rather a very ordinary if not under ordinary wheat beer... Won’t be getting this one again! Oh well! Cheers! Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jun 11, 2007 Pours clear gold with inch and a half frothy white head that took a couple of minutes to recede to a nice dime thick layer. The aroma is wheat and sweet malts with a sense of floral hops. Refreshing flavor that start with wheated malts and floral hops that slowly give up ground to sweet sugary malts. Around the finish a floral hop bitterness wells up to add a bit of a bite. The fairly high carbonation level helps to heighten this beer’s modest flavors. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA Jun 10, 2007 lemon, wheat, lots of carbonation, some some white pepper, yeast, and grass. pretty decent but nothing spectacular. Marsiblursi (1631), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 8, 2007 (Bottle) Pours clear golden. Doughy yeast and light toasty malt aroma with hoppy hints of flowers and herbs. Also some small notes of lemon, honey and hay. Medium sweet flavour with a light citric sting, mostly lemon. Light acid. Well carbonated with a crisp finish. A bit yeasty. Light body. gnoff (3560), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 8, 2007 (355 ml bottle from Systembolaget) Labeled 4.5% ABV. Clear golden color, small white head. Sweet, floral and a touch of butterscotch scent. Weak malty and metallic taste. Sprtizy yet thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. Not much pleasure to this one. lagomswedish (213), Umeå, Sweden Jun 5, 2007 Bottle from the Systembolaget. Despite the sales patter on the label, this beer falls largely flat. The most impressive quality is the head, which really is fluffy egg whites as promised. Otherwise thin aromas of grain and grass. A slightly sour, metallic middle and low bitter finish. wimpers out to a dull finish. oh6gdx (8802), Vasa, Finland Jun 3, 2007 Bottled. Golden colour with fluffy slightly off-white head. Aroma is is grains, grass and slightly plastic pipeyish. Flavour is slight fruits, big grassyness and some slight sourish hopping. Not inspiring at all, but indeed refreshing.
