Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 20, 2007 This gold pour smells of beach grass and honey. The flavor starts off hoppy and is followed by wheat and honey. It has a clean, dry finish. Otje (668), Leiden, Netherlands Apr 20, 2007 Bottle 4.5%abv. Amber orange colored beer with a small but lasting head. Sharp citrus and honeyish wheat in the nose. Floral notes, honey, some hops, sweetish and bitterish taste. Finishes more floral and somewhat bitter. Bit watery but smooth palate. Under par. Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA Apr 17, 2007 Bottle - Light amber slightly pale orange color with thin white head. Aroma of malted wheat and citrus, some floral hints. Nice drinkable light flavor - wheat, sweet citrus fruit, honey, hops. Slightly bitter ending. Good beer while doing yard work, etc. luvcasks (178), USA Apr 15, 2007 Summer and summer beer... aah! qaffable session pints.. yum
Brilliant, golden with a nice firm white head...
Just says crisp, clean and quenching.. definitely does not disappoint
There is a nice clean base malt (very slightly caramelly) with touch of spice and nice balance of hop flavor kept in check with the carbonation and clean yeast
A very good seasonal example of american wheat beer
Yet another classic in the firmament that makes up the beers of Anchor...
railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 10, 2007 A lite wheat beer with not much flavor or originally.Ilike wheat beers but this was way to lite.CHEERS! jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Apr 4, 2007 not much more than your average summer beer. wasn’t very impressed, pretty much a lackluster wheat beer. churchill00 (154), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 23, 2007 Draught @ Anchor restaurant inside San Francisco Airport. Yellow, poured with a light head (waiter’s fault). Smelled sweet-like honey and citrus fruit. I was parched and this quenced my thirst, although it was pretty watery. Not bad. mynameisjonas (206), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Feb 18, 2007 this beer is meh. a typical summer brew with a pretty good taste. meh describes it
