Gregis (911), Overland Park, Kansas, USA May 7, 2007 Bottle. Pours a sparkling yellow with a large, white, sudsy head. Aroma is limited to a light grainy hay with a hint of yeast. Palate was watery, thin, fizzy and metallic, and the flavor was even less inspired. While light-bodied and easy to drink, this one is pretty bland for a wheat. It tastes to me more like a lager with a long metallic finish. The best thing I can say about this one is that I’m glad that I purchased it as a single.
mar (574), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 28, 2008 golden pour with a medium white head. yeast, oranges and slight coriander on the nose. nice thickness with a huge yeasty flavor with some citrus. pretty refreshing overall though. rkuhnel (1100), Eureka, California, USA Aug 27, 2008 From a six pack the cost $9.69 at the North Coast Coop in Arcata, CA this poured a cloudy yellow with a foamy head and light lacing. Nose of light malts. light hops, and very little wheat. Light mouthfeel. Flavor is much the same and there is a light and watered down finish. Not a very good effort by a brewery that usually does better. ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 27, 2008 Pour is a hazy light straw colored with a frothy white head. Wheres the wheat? Very bland and a watery mouth-feel taboot. JCB (1009), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 26, 2008 12oz from Sam’s, Durham. I bought this with my pal Maurice on a hot day, anticipating a lively, refreshing brew from the reliable Anchor. Sadly, what we got was a disappointingly watery beer that doesn’t even seem to possess many of the traits of a wheat at all, but instead comes across like a mildly funky pale lager. The relatively full mouthfeel is as close as you get, with a very active carbonation masking a lack of personality. Ramenen (339), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 25, 2008 Thanks to ghawener. Pours a light, hazy yellow color with abundant white head. Light bodied, off flavors, grains and skunky, a bit metallic.
