Really does have a nice whipped egg head. Light bodied, a light grain malt and wheat palate. A touch of sweetness with a dry finish. A nice drinkable American Wheat.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear straw yellow with a fluffy one finger head. Great lacing and head retention.
Aroma has plenty of citrus along with some grass, hay, and yeast.
The flavor has citrus with lemon being predominant up front along with a little bit of yeast. Some grain is present along with a moderate, drying bitterness lasting into the finish. Finish also has a salty quality that lingers.
Overall, a decent if unspectacular wheat ale. It’s pretty refreshing but I don’t really care for a overly dry finish.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Chipalsa (699) - Florida, USA - MAY 25, 2012
This is a very light beer overall. Hops are floral in the nose with hints of straw and lemongrass. The taste is crisp with a light hop profile, and the malty body is mellow and bready towards the finish with a touch of grapefruit. Leaving the mouth dry and bitter, it is a palate cleanser and quite the drinker.

Had at recent beer club meeting. Pours a clear golden color with nice layer of frothy white head. Aroma is bit citric yeast. Flavor is weaker than I would have expected. Typical wheat flavor, though a bit sharper citric notes and more mild yeasty doughiness than most. Overall, not bad but not worth the anchor price.

Bottle. Weak malt aroma, almost corn like. Hazy golden with a small white head. Light wheat malt flavor with a light bitter finish. Light watery body.

This is not a Hefe. There is no bubblegum yeast to swirl here. So what is here?
Clear, light gold pour with a mountainous billowy head of white. Nose is bread and dry malt. Medium sweet across the tongue, taste like a hearty bread with kick; the Anchor yeast character is here. Dry, with medium hop bitterness on the way out. Very bracing, and refreshing beer. Try this beer with no preconceived notions.

Clear golden with a big off-white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, fruity and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. Watery. 220512

Bottle. Transparent gold pour. Big white head. Nose is a nice pleasant fruity sweetness with a little funk. Taste is hard to describe, but it definitely has the distinct flavors that all anchor beers have.

Pours orange yellow with a finger of white head. Smells bready; wheat with a bit of yeast. Tastes bready, salty, and a little sour. I’m not a fan of this one. It reminds me of antacids

Light golden color with a persistent head covering and streaks of lace. The taste is malty, grassy wheat with a startling bitter finish. Light, but not particularly appealing. Anchor offers much better than this.
