3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pulled out of a mix Anchor 12-pack. Itís back.
Great finger and half of head on a clear light straw colored body.
The aroma is bold for a wheat beer. Pine and mild banana and pear.
The taste is mildly lemon bitter with softer wheat notes middle to end.
Smooth and soft texture with moderate carbonation.

Back from retirement and bigger and seemingly better than the first rendition, this is a nice clean, crisp very wheat forward beer that - while not outstanding - is quite good. Welcome back.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is wheat and apple. Appearance is crystal clear apricot with small off white head that dissipates quickly. Taste is wheat forward, light apple and lemon tartness. Light hop bitterness. Palate medium light, smooth and very crisp. Light fruit flavors linger with mild noble hop bitterness. Overall an excellent wheat beer. Clean and crisp with pleasant subdued fruit flavors.
Flyer that came with the pack says that this is a modern interpretation of the original wheat. I donít think this beer is on ratebeer yet and we are rating the retired wheat beer. Flyer says this beer is 5.6%, much bigger than the original.

Part of a 12-pack mix purchased in October 2013, so I think it is unretired. Okay and drinkable brew, but nothing interesting.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Iím shocked that this was retired because I just bought it a few days ago.
Iím also SHOCKED that it is a 3% brew. I will never buy it again.
A sub standard wheat in every respect. To bad, Iím a big fan of Anchor.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled this quite a while ago and just getting to my review now. Pale light gold--clear--with a loose white head. A light grainy aroma with a hint of yellow citrus in the background. Very light body with good crispness, soft hops and wheat malt flavor characteristics.

12oz bottle found in the back of my fridge! Pours a completely clouded pale yellow with a small white head. Some wheat, corn, grain and some funky grassy note on the nose. Flavor is similar with sweet corn and some cereal grain, I canít believe this held up as well as it did....
