Faint sweet aroma, clean wheat flavor. It’s nothing special, even a trifle light, but it’s a good easy beer that’d taste great on a hot summer day.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2004 On tap. Poured a light yellow with a white head. Subtle aromas and tastes of wheat, fruits and lemons. Thinner body. Nothing special about this one.

Pours golden and clear with a fizzy head. Smells of caramel, some wheat, hints of underlying sweetness. Tastes crisp and dry with just a hints of underlying sweetness but otherwise not much else to speak of. Mouthfeel is thin with a finish that is crisp. Inoffensive and bland compared to just about all their other offerings.

I can see why Anchor retired this one, a so-so ale with little but its creamy thick head to redeem it. The aroma is a soft caramel and wheat, a little musty. Thin and slightly oily to the palate, the flavor is mildly sweet wheat with a modest bitter, sour finish. I don’t know where the folk at Sal’s found this, but they could have kept it hidden for my visit. <font size=-4><a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Places/ShowPlace.asp? Golden color with a tall long lasting head. Wheat malt and bittering hops aroma. Lifeless wheat malt/biscuit flavor that finishes overpoweringly bitter. Not a flavorful bitterness a caffine type bitterness. A honey type dry finish.
