(Bottle). Clear copper complexion with thick head and glass lacing. Malty aroma. Flavor is balanced but with some biting alcohol. Not as smooth as anticipated.

Pour from a 22oz bottle. Deep amber / orange brew with tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, tart fruit, green hops, earth. Taste is an upfront mix of sweet caramel malts and bitter / tart fruity hops. Swallow ends iwht more earth and citrus hops emerging on top of it all. A bit ponderous but tasty.

Drought. Amber-orange with creamy tan head, doughy aroma, flat sweetish hoppy taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish with bitter aftertaste. A bit thin and flat for my liking.

Tap East. Keg. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Light crisp palate. Minerals. Smooth malt with a fair bit of toffee - caramel sweetness. Light cream. Bitterish pine on the backend. Light crisp finish. A sweetish and messy pale ale, was intrigued by the new hops but they put so much malt in the way I couldn’t taste ’em. A disappointment!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap pours a dark goldish copper with some eggshell suds. The aroma is rich with some caramel malts and earthy grassy hops. The flavor starts strange with some grassy floral hops, a light pine, and rich malts but in an awkward way with some sweet lemony thing popping in. The finish is a little better with a decent unique pale ale flavor. Overall ok but not what I’d hope for from anchor.

Draft. Nose of citrus zest with woody tones. Cloudy reddish color. Tart and citrus flavor with some nauseating puke kinda thing in the finish. Not a fan.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at gaslight brewery. Aroma of citrus, I didn’t get the peach and wasn’t very intense. Amber color, brilliant clarity. Taste was of citrus and grapefruit hops with a one dimensional grainy malt flavor. Body was medium low. Overall, had a nice potential but finish lacked depth in malt character and hop bitterness overwhelmed hop flavor and aroma.

On tap at Backcountry Pizza poured a clear amber with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of caramel, earthiness, grapefruit zest and pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, earthiness and pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering earthy finish.
