Poured into a wine glass at Shelton Brothers tasting at the Wine and Cheese Place. Aroma: Oak, tart, fruit, very pleasant. Appearance: Dark brown, cloudy, touch of red when light hits it, bubbly and leaves sparkling carbonation trails upon swirl.Taste: Starts with sweetness from red malts, gives the slight impression of cherries, middle brings both sour and sweet into balance, finishes with a sour punctuation mark that leaves you anxious for the next sip! Masterfully done. Palate: Medium body, moderate carbonation, very pleasant. Overall: Loved this beer! Reminded me of a red flanders with the malty sweetness. From start to finish this is well balanced, complex, and a joy to drink. Go find yourself a bottle!

Sampled at the W&C Clayton. It poured a dark black cherry color with a tan head. The aroma was of dark cherries, some mild funk and dark malts. The taste was of sweet berries, cherry, a little caramel and some funk in the finish. Very nice.

Bottle pour at the Brouwers event. Pours cola like brown with a very nice sour front aroma. So many sour flavors here. Cherry, grape, and a little apple. This is an incredible beer. Great stuff.

Pour from a 750 ml bottle at The Party Source/Ei8ht Ball. Pours a cloudy brown-amber with a tiny off-white head that quickly settles into a ring. Notes of sour cherry, brown sugar, oak, toast, balsamic vinegar, tannins, sour mash, cognac, and sweet and sour candy. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sour mouthfeel that is balanced by some sweetness and toastiness. Finishes drier than expected. Very nice take on the style.

750ml corked bottle. Sour aroma with fruity notes, like cherry. Pours very dark brown with a thin, short-lived off white head and some lacing. Taste is sweet fruit with cherry notes and a lively, vinous mouthfeel. Lots of carbonation in this one. Finishes quite sour with the vinous flavor and mouthfeel lingering on the palate long after a sip. Nice, complex sour.

750 ml bottle to taster. Looks good; a airly transparent dark amberish brown with light beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes good too; malty and funky with notes of cherry, grape, oak, brett, and oak. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Great beer!
