Hazy yellow orange in color... Foamy white head... Aroma of grapefruit, lemon zest, citrus hops... Lightly tart nose... Flavor is grapefruit peel, lemon, grapefruit bitterness on finish... Less metallic than JP version, solid beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great saison and concept. The grapefruit and peppercorns create almost a sour bubblegum flavor. Nice palate feel and the carbonation is balanced with the beer. The yeasts add a good Belgium spice. Color is dark yellow, light orange with thick haze. Bottle

My Bottom Line:
Grapefruit and peppercorns lift this gastronomical brew to succulent heights, yielding just enough acidity and pizzazz to join the hops and wild yeast in a furiously addictive dance.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the cloudy blond.
-This is another great aromatic performance by an Anchorage brew.
-The bottle conditioning job is excellent.
-Mouthfeel is on the dry side, as is often the case with this brewery.
-If this is the same brewery as the JPumpkin Calabaza Boreal, I am clearly a bigger fan of what comes out of Anchorage’s tanks these days.

750ml bottle of Batch 3, bottles Nov 2015. Pours a golden color with a bit of head. Fruity aroma. Nice Brett funk, balanced well against the hops.

Färg som utspädd apelsinjos. Grumlig. Jäst smak och mycket tunn. Trist man vill ju känna fruktighet ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, medium white head, dissipates slowly with nice residual and lacing. Aroma is Brett and passionfruit, grapefruit. Wow those hops have held up amazingly well in the nose at least. Flavor is dry, medium funky, hint of tartness, fruity, but more dusty and funky than the nose would imply. I guess here is where the age has caught up to her; leaching out some of the bright hops to be replaced with dry Bretty funk. Not a bad tradeoff in the end. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tasty beer, but then I have a total soft spot for Anchorage.

Pours a bright golden yellow with fizzy head. Aromas of tropical fruits and some citrus peel. Funky orange/lemon peel flavors with a nice brett woody funk.

Bottle from craft beer cellar shared with Alex A: grapefruit, peppery, citrusy, herbacy App: clear pale smallish white head some lacing. T/p: thin body with short acidic finish. Moderate high carbonation. Crisp O: enjoyed this quite a bit crisp easy to drink the grapefruit really shine here without being overwhelming.

750ml bottle from Craft Beer Cellar shared with Jo. Thanks Jo. Aroma: grapefruits, herbal (basil?) and spices. This sure is original. App: hazy straw, light golden, minimal white head, little lacing. Taste and palate: light body, great saison texture, that herbal aroma is back in mouth, subtle bitter finish. Overall: good but not too sure about the originality of this aroma. The grapefruits and herbal aroma is quite strong.
