Fluent and complimentary with solid intensity, mostly seamless transitions conjuring an array of nuances, juicy pinot noir barrel characteristics merging into more subtle whiskey barrel with meshing lacto and barrel creaminess bridging into caramel and dark malt which transitions into earthy, damp funk, black peppercorns, anise, chocolate covered bananas, sweet tart and juicy fruit gum, acidulous fruit accents swirl around the experience, plumb, pineapple, white grape, peach, all on a smooth, cohesive medium body with rounded, mellow carbonation leading to an abrupt clearing sour tannic dryness which quickly gives way to a residual of dark chocolate syrup over dark wine and berries, lingering light funk

Pours dark brown with a soapy tan head. The aroma has dark berries, sourness, citrus, brett funk, red wine, tannins, some oak and smooth roast. It has a medium / full prickly body with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with some vinegar, sour cherries, green apples, lactic sourness, some chocolate malt and light bugs. The finish shows red wine, more bugs, paper/wood, oak and metallic aspects. Really enjoyable.

750 mL caged and corked bottle at home. Pours clear black with a medium, fizzy tan head, quickly and mostly dissipating with spare lacing. Aroma is pedio and lacto tartness, plums, light roast and chocolate malt notes, cherries, light oak and nutmeg. Flavor is tart pedio and lacto with plums and cherries, light, non-bittered malt, light earthy hops and bitterness, sweet oak and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Massive aromas of plum, dark fruits, black cherries, blackberries, grapes, raisins, rice vinegar, oak, acidity, rye whiskey and vinous wine grapes. Appears dark black on a thin brown foam rim. Taste moderate sourness upfront with dark fruits, plums, raisins, prune juice, wine grapes, rice vinegar, chocolate, very chalky cocoa, toffee, dark malts and very dry, slightly roasty whiskey finish with no booze. Overall, I saw that this was a dark sour ale (as I love sour ales) aged in whiskey barrels (as I love whiskey/bourbon aged beers) and also wine barrels so I was expecting a big treat. The aroma was immense but sadly the beer falls very flat in my opinion. All the notes are very hinted undertones. Big disappointment, B- rating.
