Tasted on 7/12/13 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle purchased at Belmont Station. Pours almost completely black with an average tan head that slowly settles into a collar of lace. The nose is prune with coffee, dark chocolate, roast, and a nice red wine vinegar and citrus sourness. The flavor is the same, with all of the flavors nicely melded, and the sourness not really kicking in until the finish. The body is medium and tannic with average carbonation and a long roasted dark chocolate, coffee, and sour red wine vinegar and citrus finish.

Char and currant aroma. Black, medium beige head. Charcoal and currant. Medium body, easy carbonation. Tasty, not as much complexity as I would have expected.

Pretty good but not great. Dark with minimal head. Nose is tart and woody. Plums in the nose too. Very tart initial taste and feel. Dry barrel notes are next. Nice complex finish is the best with this. Ends with some malty and dry notes.

750ml bottle at share on 6/11/16. Pours out flat, oily black body. Smell goes in another direction, fruity and tart. Taste is also fruity, with more tartness, and more of the barrel elements coming into play. A nice cap to the evening, full of excellent beers

Sour wild ale. Le goût de pinot se fait bien sentir celui de whisky un peu moins. Belle rondeur du goût en général. Légère avidité. Une référence.

Bottle share. Dark brown color with a smaller tan head. The aroma is complex with the barrel notes, vinous bits, and brett. Lots going on here, from buggy tart notes to the woody barrel taste. Dark fruits and more vinous bits. Some moderate sour lingers.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear datk reddish brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, grapes, oak, cocoa and light bourbon. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of roasted malt, grapes, light oak and a hint of bourbon with a crisp dry tart lingering roasty grape finish.
