3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml. bottle form Belmont Station, in Portland. An Imperial/Double? Um, yes, sure, I’ll "agree" with that, I guess. Hazy orange appearance with a frothy head. The smell is all citrus and brett. There’s really nothing else going on, aroma wise. The beer is VERY pungent. A great amalgam of citrus, yeast, pine, and brett. The brett makes this beer very dry. The bitterness is lingering, and lasting. I wish I would have purchased this beer fresh. Considering, this is Batch#1 from 07, 2011, I don’t think this is very fresh, but it still has some great qualities. With all of this brett, I don’t see how one could construe this as a IIPA. If you’re a brett fan, you won’t mind this. I was expecting something different, but I’m satisfied with the results.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
cloudy blond colour, huge white head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of citruses (mostly orange peel, and grapefruit), pine resin, apricot, honey, biscuit and some minimal toffee; piney-citrussy bittersweet taste with apricot again and maltyness; bitter aftertaste - marvellous DIPA

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2013. Fruity and earthy smell. Similar taste. Very bitter with some apple aromas. Slightly harsh mouthfeel.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours medium burnished yellow with massive white head that leaves a pancake of foam that persists. Aromas of sweet candied citrus, horse blanket, wet hay, petrichor, spicy phenols, and mild alcohol. Taste is much of the same with wet hay, petrichor, grass trimmings, apricot, citrus zest, and a little bisquity. Only very subtle woody and white grape skin flavors. Light/Medium mouthful with bright carbonation. Finish starts with a sweet/dank punch and goes into Black pepper, alcohol and a slight astringency. Extremely complex and enjoyable beer. Great use of Brett. I would have liked the body to be a bit bigger for a double ipa.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of the best beers I have had in my life. Usually don’t like Belgian IPAs much, but this is something else. Astounding complexity: pours a very hazy yellow. Vibrant hops in the nose and noticable brett character. Lots of grapefruit, mango, and pineapple. Mouthfeel is crisp, with sweetness, dry finish, prominent brett character adding a welcome acidity to counter balance the hop bitterness. Lots of yeast. Back of the mouth you get the white wine character. Overall just a world-class beer that really pushes the envelope.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma has a good amount of light fruits, light funk and some underlying wine barrel. Flavor sees the hops come through a bit more with a note of citrus with the same brett and light fruit note and a dry wine finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Striking gold pour with massive white head. Punch you in the face yeast/Brett aroma. Taste is sweet with a sneaky tartness. More Brett. Nice earthy, grass notes with just a hint of bittetness. Crisp and lively. Beautiful beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber at Lincoln Wine Bar. It starts off really nice, malty with a citrus, slightly tart flavor and some straw. I found it didn’t hold up for me, though. Gets kind of unbalanced as it goes.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Colour...very cloudy dark gold with a massive white head. Nose...a glorious meld of yeast and hops with hop resin and pine pitch at the helm. Palate...succulent, seductive and embracing, but also beastly wIth its blunt force trauma of hops and brett. The haziness of the colour can almost be tasted in its velvety mouthfeel, and the alluring smoothness of the fruit medley goes remarkably well with the waves of white pepper that dance about the finish. A glorious IPA for the style!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Couleur : or pâle, un peu trouble, mousse épaisse.
