4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A smooth, frothy crowned white head floats atop a lightly hazed yellow body displaying an eroding continent of large bubbles
White wine soaked hay, quite earthy at this age, bright ripe pineapple, fading bold white pepper, dank basement, solid mineral characteristics, a sense of green leafy hops, accents of mango and lemon, mellow oak adding creaminess to a light body with soft well controlled carbonation, a quick finish leads immediately to an immense mouthwatering lightly tart and tangy residual, adding an additional touch of dryness with each sip

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a golden hazy yellow body leaving a super big head for a Belgian IPA (about three fingers), some really nice looking foamy lacing appears.
The smell has some Galaxy hops up front and the Brett comes out appropriately with the grapefruit and peppercorn.
The taste has a majority of the Brett with hints of lemon, the grapefruit coming back.
The palate, well, I can tell it was aged in wine tanks, because there is a great quality of wine-likeness to it. Harshness all around, perhaps one of the most harsh beers Iíve ever had, but I know, its part of the style, so Iíll just keep going since there are people out there that love this stuff. Drinkable, perhaps to some, but to me, uh . . . not really.
Overall, this is good for its style but since Iím still not much of a fan of the lighter Belgian styles, just ok to me. Iíll keep looking for lighter Belgians to try and maybe Iíll find my niche in one of these things some day.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Smell is near perfect. Citrus, wheat, grass, spice, coriander, yeast, funk. Slight smell of piss is the only deterrent from a perfect 10 here. Is this really an IPA?? Taste is more citrus, banana? wheat, coriander, brett, white wine, and other spices. Finished sour and tart.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber pour - comes out a very dirty pale gold with a robust off-white head - this stuff is not very pretty, which got my hopes up big time! Aroma is, well, unique - tons going on here - a strong funkiness/brett overtone starts things off with a heavy dose of doughy yeast, barnyard/leather, white wine tartness, citrusy hops, wheat, bready malts - this stuff is all over the place, and awesome! Flavor did not disappoint either - general wheat body with a telltale wit yeast note, the wood aging is present in the flavor. Good citrus notes, spice, brett/barnyard funk, lactic tartness and even more in the flavor - an enjoyable ride where each sip brings something new as it warms slightly. Palate is very dry and draws you in - this stuff hits on all cylinders. Well, if you couldnít tell already, I really, really enjoyed this beer - tried it on a whim and it did not disappoint - well, it is disappointing that I donít have any more to enjoy - best beer Iíve had in some time!

Fresh bottle. Nice cloudy bright yellow with pillowy head. Lovely hops up front with Belgian and a bit of sour throughout the middle. Dry bitter finish with flavors that linger.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle. Golden with big fluffy head. Quite a bit of citrus. Moderate hops with medium bitterness. Brett is very mild. The carbonation is quite prickly, to the point of distracting me from the flavors. Still, very good.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy yellow. Long lasting thick head resembles lemon meringue. Smells of lemon and urine, yes urine, which is typical for a beer with brett. Very funky aroma. Taste is just as funky. Dank, lemon, urine and pepper. As the beer warms I taste young bitter coconut. The bitterness is subdue and doesn't linger. Very refreshing with a light body. Every sip is a new experience as the beer changes as it breaths and warms. If your into funky beers this ones for you.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, batch #5, July 2013. Didnít get to drink one fresh but I love whatís going on here. In the glass: straw with some vague white islands, a more prominent head ring and a few stray bubbles. Still getting the galaxy hops and the coriander surprisingly clean on both nose and taste even after 7 or so months. The brett has clearly done some work and pulled everything together. Funk is solid but clean -- musty without being overpowering. Aroma is especially complex. There are worlds in there, I donít even know where to start.
Maybe my favorite Anchorage yet. Will definitely seek out a fresh one next batch.
