Bottle purchased at whole foods for $16-18. No date on bottle. Cork flys off with authority! Fantastic aroma! Hoppy mild aroma with some funk and wine melding perfectly. Massive fluffy head but little lacing. Mouthfeel is dry but a bit too fizzy. Taste is dry with a goo dose of galaxy hops. Funk is present but not overpowering. Definite medicine flavor too. Very mild spiced flavor as well. Overall, an interesting beer but not fantastic. Lots of good flavors but just don't meld perfect. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gerbeer (2319) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 15, 2013
750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with full head. Aromas of brett, cellar, coriander, malts, yellow fruit and a bit of white pepper. A lot going on. Tons of carbonation. Acrid and funky; must be the brett, but initial flavor is a shock - what comes to mind is urine; must be the kumquats. After that, flavors of malts, citrus, and coriander. But every sip is still a shock. Could have been great...

750mL, Batch 2: With a pop of the cork I’m on my way to my first rating after a couple years of rating burnout... Pours a beautiful cloudy, pale yellow w/ a gigantic white head that recedes to a marshmallow like lump in my glass. Aroma: A mix of grass, citrus, wheat, spices & a slight funk. Very earthy, love it. Flavor: Bitter citrus, wheat character & spice. Very dry w/ a long bitter finish. Lots of carbonation as well. The subtle type, not overbearing. This is one of those beers I saw, passed over, couldn’t stop thinking about & went back for a couple days later. Glad I did because this one is full of awesome!

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2013 750 ml corked bottle. A lightly hazy pale yellow beer, with a gigantic, fizzy/frothy, lightly lacing, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is lightly to moderately malty (bread/grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, grapefruit, lemon), moderately yeasty (barnyard), with notes of orange, tangerine, lavender, rosemary, pepper, coriander, some banana and white wine. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, fizzy/lively carbonation, dry and rather long finish with moderate bitterness, lightly alcoholic. A bit of each IPA and Wit, but actually few features of both styles. Whatever it is, it’s great... Fruity and spicy aroma, clean and balanced in the mouth. Mouthfeel could be slightly improved, since it’s a bit thin and perhaps overcarbonated. Overall a masterpiece

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2015 Bottled. Pours clear yellow with a medium sized white head. Aroma of citrus, orange zest, some tropical fruits, caramel and brett notes. Sweet flavor that ends up slightly sour and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and lively CO2. A nice and different IPA. ★★★★

Corked bottle from Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA
batch #3, Aug/2012

The cork pops loudly, and indeed it seems well carbonated, producing a cloudy blond color and giant frothy head. The aroma is harmonious and quite deep; plenty of exotic citrus fruits, with light spicy touch; there is some tangerine aroma too, and very light Bretts. The mouthfeel is very dry, and the carbonation is high; along with some flavor of malt and wheat, there is a nice spice profile from the yeast, delicate Brett notes, and a prominent citrusy character. The final is well bitter and long, with light citrusy astringency.
Harmonious, complex and full of fresh characteristics.

Very foamy. Golden yellow in color like pineapple juice and cloudy in appearance. Smells Wheaty and lemony. Very fruity in favor.
