3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle dated April 2014 @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Dec 12 2014) Pours hazy straw with a dense frothy white head and lots of lace. Aroma has nice passion fruit, citrus zest, a little coriander, sweet overripe peach, and a serious helping of funky wet vegetation. On the palate however, not that punchy, the passion fruit is really restrained. Some coriander and white pepper. Wheat malt. Citrus rind. A bit of oak. Dusty. On the finish, dry with a light bitterness that carries orange rind notes. Pretty light feeling in the mouth, verging on watery, with effervescent carb. I thought this smelled like a fantastically interesting farmhouse IPA but it just didn’t seem to pop on the palate and the additions didn’t add that much to it either. I am guessing that, flavour wise, we maybe drank it in a dead zone where dry hopping had faded but the brett funk hadn’t built. It was just a bit bland in taste. I’d happily have it again when fresher (or maybe older!).

Très brettée et légère odeur de chou. Très buvable mais c’est une drôle de mix avec lequel je ne suis pas très habitué

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear light straw amber, white head cover, light clouds of lace. Aroma is pleasant, sharp grainy hops. Taste is malt and wheat that smoothly move into the palate, taking a direct shot of hops on the swallow, followed immediately by more malt that accompanies the hops in a lingering, memorable finish. This is an outstanding White IPA.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Les Caves, Corvallis. Pours a pale clear straw color, just a little bit of head. Aroma lovely, Brett but also some tropical fruit, fresh pine. Body lively and dry with a subtle resinous bitterness, sneaky as far as an IPA goes. Some spice character in finish, but very little in nose.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2013 bottle. No carbonation. Last of the bottle so very cloudy straw yellow. Smell still has plenty of citrus with the coriander being dominate. A little of the peppercorn come through. All wrapped in a funkiness. The taste is similar with a tannic, dry bitterness and a bready character. Mouthfeel is flat and dry.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
July 2013 bottle. Pours a hazy light golden yellow with hardly any head or lacing. Aroma is lightly fruity and earthy with peppercorn spiciness and brett character. Taste is earthy with big brett character and light fruitiness. Has some citrus rind bitterness along with the spiciness from the peppercorns. Finishes very dry with that moderate rind bitterness. Very low carbonation which surprised me with a light body. Very good even after a year in the bottle. Drinks more like a farmhouse ale than an IPA.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very pale with minimal head, looks almost like champagne. Overly fizzy, citrusy initial taste with a slightly bitter aftertaste like lemon pith. (K)
