3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, tasted 04/29/2012. Golden straw colored pour, voluminous rocky white head, frothy retention and lacing. Aroma of light lemon wheat malts, sharp pine mixed with herbal spices, white pepper, round grapefruit and light white grape, vinous quality, slight funk. Taste is dry, yeasty, with pale malts and peppery herbal bitterness. Light palate, spritzy. Another nice offering from Anchorage.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle back at the hotel at TAPNY courtesy of me. Hooray me. Pours a hazed gold with a medium to large white head. Big fuzzy musk, brett, yeast. Lemon and citrus. Medium bodied, lemon and citrus. Big chewy brett. Dry and funky. Loads more brett on the finish. The bottles can be a bit pricey, but I have loved everything these guys are doing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours straw yellow with a nice-sized fizzy, white head. Nose is brett and lots of citrus. Perhaps a bit of cat piss. Really nice. Flavor is lots of lemon, brett, belgian yeast, and I would confer with those reviewers who have stated that there’s a component similar to a dry white wine. I really enjoyed this bottle.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750 ml. Pale golden body. White, fizzy head, diminishing. Funky brett aroma on top of sweet citrus. Barnyard, tropical fruit, lemon, perfume. Mild toasted grain in background. Flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately to heavily bitter. Dry, dry finish. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. I like brett and I like complex IPAs, but the two together are not working for me here. Have to wonder what this would be like without the funk considering the complexity the beer flirts with before the barnyard, lacquer flavors and bitterness overwhelm them.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle poured a golden in color with a one finger white head. Aroma has brett, bright hops, citrus, wheat, oak, and light pepper. Mouth feel is light with plenty of carbonation. Flavor Has quite a bit more yeast than there other beers, oak, some bitterness, bright hops, light spices and a some pepper. This Dries out rather well and the flavors are well done. Part Ipa, part wheat, part saison. So interesting there beers are.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750mL bottle, pours a cloudy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is very funky smelling more like a saison than IPA, with loads of brett, barnyard funk, horse blanket, white wine, Flavour is extremely dry and funky, with loads of barnyard, loads of brett / very yeasty, white wine (no tartness though), horse blanket and uber-dry citrusy hops. Finishes very dry with loads of brett character. Strikes me more as a saison than anything. Delicious, nevertheless.

Bottle. Nice fluffy pure white head on a light hast bright lemon yellow. Melon rind, Passion fruit, lemon and citrus zest, and some funkiness in the aroma. Woody, slight pine, the kumquat comes in a bit, zesty citrus, slight moldy funk. Lighter to medium dry body. Delicious

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
750mL c&c from Conn Ave. Pours hazy, translucent, glowing gold. Massive, rocky, bright head head with hug retention and massive lace. Oh yes. Nose right off the bat is rich cantaloupe and pineapple, big Brett C tropical notes and rich tropical Galaxy hops. Some funky stuff like overripe stonefruits and juicy, molding peach. Hints of lavender and rose water atop moldy peach. In taste, super dry and very peppery with just a bit too much lavender perfume I’m betting for some people. However, it’s a taste I quite enjoy. Palate is lively, aerated, fairly quenching as it warms. Really comes across as a saison to me. It lacks the phenols and esters of a witbier and the sticky caramel of an American IPA. Coriander is subdued. Kumquats very bright in the nose. Obviously another home run from Gabe. This has way too much complexity to be in the IPA category. I’d move it to saison.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle from Hill Farmstead, curtesy of John. Cloudy pale amber with a generous effervescent head that settles relatively quickly. Light spice, some chardonnay, mild brett, lemon rind, coriander, pepper, wheat. High carbonation, mild body - quite light and refreshing, no hint of alcohol although the chardonnay notes are present throughout, becomes very dry with some brett, light spice, hint of barnyard and grass. Very tasty - love this brewery.
