Batch 2: Misty golden. Towering white crown of clingy meringue. Potently phenolic nose of medical tape, sulfur, white pepper and matchstick along with sherbet, pineapple marmalade, lemon verbena, grassy herbs, celery seed, perfumey hops. New-mown hay aromas lurk beneath. Slightly soapy. Expansive, feathery soft carbonation. Boisterously phenolic from the get-go, with sassy lavender and Russian sage sharpness swirled with brisk bandage- and sulfur-laden phenolics. Crackery, haylike pils malt gracefully restores softness as it blankets the palate with multilayered starches. Grain is supportive, throughout, and mostly clean with the exception of the faintest huskiness (burnt wood) exuding. Twinge of pineapple gorgeously dovetails with the zesty hoppiness and a lemon verbena imbued tartness. Late emergence of floral nectarine succulence couples with a brett-derived peach fuzz bitterness and citrus peel acid to add detail and some welcomed softness to the center. While the hops arenít overly unruly, at times they teeter on an aspirinlike resinous edge which thankfully stops just shy of clashing with the stark dryness and robust herbs. Plenty of redemptive lemon and tropical fruit succulence beneath the hops continually beckons you to take another large gulp. Finishes explosively phenolic and dryly malty with notes of hay dust, lemon and sharp herbs. Nice effort here. Does need a lot of time to breathe in order to soften and coalesce, as itís quite brisk and leans toward stark, early on. Aside from some subtle soapiness - which presumably comes from the coriander as it can take on that character when used excessively - this is very enjoyable.

Bottle. Mopderate malt note of grain, heavy hops of grapefruit and orange peel, moderate soap for the yeast, with pineapple and coriander in the background. Head is large between fizzy and frothy, white with some spots of lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy pale yellow. Flavor starts moderately acidic and heavily bitter, then has a long heavy bitter finish. Palate is medium, watery, with a fizzy carbonation. The spice and fruit additions to this IPA are perfect.

750 ml bottle. Batch #2. Bottled Apr/2012. Cloudy pale yellow colour with a ridiculously huge foamy white. The aroma is fruity hops, sweetness, mild brett and white wine. The flavour is some hops, mild sweetness, mild bitterness and some candies. A bit unfresh... well it's not that fresh anymore. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at SBWF 2014. Snekk if ripe fruits, apples and hops. Similar taste. Funky with a light "toilette" aroma.

Bottle - 750ml. Pours a hazy blond body with a thin white foamy/creamy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with citrusy, coriander, and malty finish. Its sharp hoppy taste carries the same nuances as the aroma. Ends with a long, robust, moderately warming, bitter/herbal finish. Very enjoyable.

bretty house character. itís nice, but if all the beers taste the same, itís not too exciting, especially for a premium price. the wit was mostly brett and not much else (still good, though) and the love buzz was the only one that was a different barrel, but pretty tame. this had lots of bretty goodness, as expected, but also enough hops and spices to tell immediately on the forst sip that it was indeed a white ipa underneath. the (lasting) feel and flavor were quite nice. the aroma was ever so slightly venturing into "diaper" territory, but this beer was a nice one. Bottle. Cloudy yellow pour with a thick white head, great retention and lacing even a half hour later. Funky bretts on the nose, subtle hops that mostly disappear as it warms, some citrus and spice. Flavour is medium hoppy, allowing the brett and yeast to shine. Some sweet citrus, lemon, spice, bretts. A spectacular white IPA.
