750ml brown bottle, corked. Batch # 2, April 2012. Pours out a lemon yellow colour with haze. Frothy and creamy white head with gobs of clinging foam everywhere. Nose has leathery Brett, pineapple fruit, lighter citrus. Taste has a yeasty and dry start, light peppery spices, bretty toward the end. Light fruitiness, some grassy bitterness. Some oak on the tongue, hoppy and grassy notes linger. Very bubbly, body is medium. Tasting pretty nice as a fairly fresh beer. Very drinkable.

Bomber - pours a semi cloudy almost clear or opaque liquid with a very thick soapy white head that slowly dissipates. The aroma is slightly sour along with hints of tropical fruit and lemony hops. A unique IPA with flavors like lemon, funky brettomyces, floral notes, herbal grassiness, white biscuit malt and sour fruit.

Appearance: slightly hazy pale straw with one finger of fluffy white head diminishing gradually to a thick cap, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: lemon zest, wet straw and horseblankety funk, champagne yeast, white pepper. (9/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate tart, mild bitter and peppery spice. (9/10) Light body, moderate-high carbonation, dry mild bitter and funky tart finish. (4/5) Well, it ain’t all that pretty - but other than that, it’s some serious shit. Somewhat surprisingly, given my experience with brett, the head didn’t explode out of control - but that aside, this is a full-on brett beer. Big funky tart lemon and barnyard funk on the nose, balanced funky tart on the tongue. I might have to pick up another one of these and cellar it for a couple of years, just to give the brett time to really work its magic. Bring the funk! (16/20)
