Keg@CBC2013 Clear golden color, small white head. Tart, bretta, citrusy aroma. Medium-bodied. Citric, tart, a bit spicey. Decent.

Batch #2, August 2012 Apricot ale with a sheet of loose knit light foam. Smells of elderflower initially, pepper, lemon, seltzer, some grain and some clay; just a touch of musty trub. Lightly tart, quite bitter, medicinal, some bitter orange peel, a little bit of tart and the aftertaste is really grassy and filthy to me. Medium bodied on full with low carb and dry finish. A little too bitter and overly mutilated by the Brett for me. Nose is really satisfying, but the flavor doesn’t do it for me.

Bottle. Colour...cloudy golden-straw with that ANC brewing thick head! Nose...oh! Just a bit of brett (understatement) to go with the piles of mixed fruits. Palate...Hi! My name is Brett!! I’m a close talker and in your face!!! But that’s a good thing in this case! The brett is big here but the massive fruit salad is also present to keep brett in check! The oak shows up mid way through the experience and then the grapey bits (the pinot??) make their presence known with macerated skins really making the flavour point. One of the finest saisons I’ve ever had!

Bottle, 75cl corked. A big, dense, off-white head sits on top of a hazy, orange body. The aroma has a light whiff of brett, it’s spiced and peppery with flowers and some notes of pale malts. Wonderfully balanced and complex. The flavor has a nice bitterness chiming in towards the end, with the same pale malts and bretty spicyness found in the aroma. It’s more or less full-bodied, dry and perhaps a bit too carbonated, finishing with a pleasant bitterness and brett-flavor. A really wonderful and tasteful beer leaving the barrel impact at a minimum level, which I think suits the beer very well. 130208

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of Brett and spicy yeast, some pale and caramel malts, a little fruitiness, a little oak, and some light bitterness. Flavor the same with a nice tartness. Average texture. A really good saison.

Bottle from Ryan, nice golden orange pour with a very thin white head. Aroma of Brett funk, nice spice in the aroma finish. Also has some nice woodiness and some nice grapes and vinous character. Taste is very Brett forward, light sour, crisp wine flavor and super nice drying finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

September 2, 2013 - bottle from Whole Foods. Orange pour with nice amount of head and lacing. Aroma was spice, brett, wood and red wine. Taste starts fruity, moves into the spice and wood, and finishes with the brett and red wine.

750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma has grapefruit and orange citrus, Brett, oak, vinous notes, big floral and herbal hops, spices, funk with some moderately sweet malts. The flavor has big floral character, with grapefruit, oak, Brett funk, herbal, spices, and some sweet and bready malts. Nice bitterness and dry at the finish. Medium-bodied. I always enjoy the Anchorage beers, but the price is a touch above what I would like to pay.

Pours hazy blond/amber with a finger white head. Not as carbonated as one would expect. Smell is JUICY AS FUCK grapefruit, orange, mango. Sweet. It smells like a tropical fruit ipa. Taste is sweet, mellow, citrus and tropical fruit. Kiwi, lime, slightly tart, hoppy, peaches and berries. Super refreshing, amazingly drinkable, none of the alcohol shows up. It’s truly incredible. A work of art.
